Who are you to determine who is a fraud or who is not, and who are you to determine whose work needs to be stolen?

Reselling commercial intellectual property is a CRIMINAL offense. Why give a tout a reason to put someone behind bars or sue them?

I'm serious: if people keep posting picks here, every last occurrence of it will be documented and sent to the originating tout, along with the number of a few attorneys who handle this type of case.

if you want to beat your dead horse, by all means waste your time and complain all you want to. but do not pretend to know the law -- you're only embarrassing yourself.

Hey Biff why don't you just go somewhere else. It's obvious that nobody agrees with you nor does anybody like you so why don't you do everybody a favor and hit the road JACK!!

GO FIND SOME OTHER FORUM TO BITCH AND MOAN ON!!!

Hey why don't we ask the FEDS what they think about people stealing intellectual property? Maybe we should ask the touts themselves?

Who on earth are you to defend thieves? Don't blame ME for the laws.

If this site won't enforce the law, I know those who will.

Biff, think of the people who post service plays as heroes who disable touts from stealing from the helpless aka the squares. They steal from the squares so i think it's fair to at least view their "20*" plays. It's a cruel world Biff, face it bud.

Biff,
You put it best... you're a snitch, which rhymes with bitch and you qualify there also.

So sue someone, go for it. Snitch everyone out. Yep, attorney's just love sueing people that they don't know whether or not they have any money. I can just see the attorney's lined up for this one.

What's the frustration? Have you finally figured out no one here is going to pay you for picking at 54%? Is that it? Well, at least you finally got one thing right. congrats.

No offense, but who died and made you the "Paragon of Virtue" of sports handicapping, if there is such a thing?

It's not fair, and there is no justification for it. You're interfering with their business and once they know it's going on they can have their lawyers take care of it.

Why on earth would anyone want to give these "awful" touts a reason to press charges?

Wow, what controversy! Biff, I guess the people paying for your picks better be careful then.

Sorta makes me laugh, however, when you say that folks stealing picks from a tout service that charges people money to gamble on games illegally (except in the case of offshores and Vegas) carries a statuatory damages copyright infringment and criminal consequences! THAT'S FUNNY!

Gimmee a break fellas, people will always bet on sporting events legally or illegally, whatever's more convenient. So, IMO, the touts are guilty by association. If a person wants to share some picks he payed for with others, hats off to that person. They might have saved one more person from being ripped off. I applaud anyone who can make a living off selling picks- Capitalism at it's finest. But don't have the audacity to come on this forum lecturing others on what is generally a illegal activity to begin with. What a joke!!

Are you calling our court system a bunch of crybabies?

The law's on my side, very clearly.

If the picks are worthless, don't post them, and if they are valuable, PAY for them.

Biff, you come into this forum with your "i don't want anyone to reply in my play thread" and you're barely above 50%. Then you start THIS thread and threaten to snitch like a bitch in a forum that is meant to help others. Stop your bitchin and concentrate on your cappin pal.

Two things:

1. It's not just the posters who can be sued. Under the DMCA, websites that know this behavior is going on are OBLIGATED to stop it.

2. CRIMINAL charges can be pressed in certain situations.

3. What I do as a tout is not relevant, and my win percentage this season is back up over 55 (so much for touts not being able to win), with my LOCK ("of the year") covering.

People here seem to want to destroy the legitimate businesses of others, and the site doesn't seem to have a problem with it going on.

Copyright infringement is VERY SERIOUS STUFF online, because it's easy to steal intellectual property.

I could easily make a case that this conduct is harming my tout business even if my picks aren't being stolen. Those whose picks are being stolen can get "statutory damages" (up to $150,000 per violation), and those who PROFIT from the theft (i.e., who sell advertising to those who read it) can get far worse.

It's not my job to explain this to a publisher. If they want to be intransigent and lash out at me instead of respecting the law, they deserve what they get.

Punish us all Biff... punish us all!!

Listen, there are plenty of people not smart enough to share in an intellectual forum that will pay for you picks and keep you in business. So stop harrassing a few of us that are smarter than that. Go away TOUT!

NO, this site doesn't seem to have a problem with giving away the picks of touts. Why, well, Biffy, you just don't seem to get it, do you. Selling picks just isn't what most people on this site would call an honorable profession. Why not? It might be the unethical behavior of certain individuals in your chosen profession. Like giving out both sides of a game, calling players at home, flipping a coin without actually trying to cap a game... shit like that. Now we all know you'd never do such things. You might cause a player to go broke when you start having a bad spell but that's ok... you got paid already, didn't you.
