Shrink, what do you know and when did you know it?

Shrink is dammed if he does and dammed if he does'nt. Regardless of the timeline when he finds out a book advertizing here is possibly in trouble he should do something. So he takes them down, why? To protect his readers from postting up with them on his say so, and to worn others that have funds posted up, they may have a problem. If it turns out his info is bad or a scam by some poster he injures an innocent book. If he waits until more info is available he will get accused of exposing his readers to a possibly weak, or untrustworthy book. Can't win either way. I say where there is smoke there is usually fire, take the book down quick. Whether this is firm policy here at the Rx. I cannot answer, it seems to be in this case.

My view:

Some key information is missing and I think the Shrink owes Rx readers an explanation.

I think FatFrank is correct to point it out and demand an explanation but his tone was unduly harsh and open speculation about what (if anything) was prearranged is unwarranted at this stage. If the Shrink fails to respond adequately, the tone could be justifiably strengthened, but not until then IMO.

Kudos to Patrick for laying out what he knows.

Two things I want to stress. The first is this information was from a respected party all along. Often you hear stuff from players who got booted and/or folks with an agenda. This was seemingly credible right from the start. I would guess he sat on it and when the player dispute made it's way to him exactly the way the source said things got his attention.

The last thing is when the book did not return the call. In most cases when a book is involved that advertises here they can not get back with you quick enough! They are HUNGRY to tell you the real story. They are pissed off and adamant about telling you the real deal. None of that happened, in fact I believe to this moment they have still not contacted the Shrink. I could be wrong on that so don't quote me. Anyway around that time I would guess Shrink pulled them off the site, maybe in hopes then they would call at least.

Again this may not be exact but it's pretty damn close as far as I know. My only problem is figuring out why people would think the RX would benefit from pulling down a paying advertiser? Usually you get criticized for hanging on till the bitter end. LOL. Anyway this is the truth as I know it. I'm still willing to entertain any sort of conspiracy theory someone has if they tell me exactly what it is. (I'm still laughing over the Rx sneaking beards in at EWinner one

Anyway appreciate the civil tone of this. We need this stuff to strengthen as an industry. Guys like Frank and others who raise issues never bother me at all, just be reasonable if it comes to look as the truth was told by us. Thanks.

1 - Ken gets info from his source about a possible low/no-funds situation

2 - Poster puts up a dispute post with said book

3 - book refuses to speak with Ken

4 - advertising gets pulled

Did #1 happen before or after #2, and for how long was #1 known? I think FF is asking how long did Ken have the insider info about the possible low/no-funds situation at the book before it was made public?

Before I get a new asshole ripped, I'm not personally a conspiracy theorist - but I've been around forums long enough to know exactly what is going to transpire (Camelot, Aces Gold, yada yada yada), and I believe that question is going to get pounded to death.

I'm simply reducing all of this to what I perceive to be FF's central question - this right, FF?
