WVU situation doesn't make sense to me. Even if he intended to stiff, why would he disappear before the finals end? That is just gonna add suspicion that he was gonna stiff....If he truly intended to stiff wouldn't he of hung around here during the finals and then stiffed had LAL won?
His story kinda checks out just because he would have to be incredibly stupid to let his integrity be questioned and planned on stiffing when he could've just waited for LAL to win to disappear...

honestly this and the wvu situation should be kept separate... totally different scenarios..
i understand Celtic's frustration and if there are fee's incurred i think lap would be fine with those being taken out of the amount paid but the debt still needs to be paid.
sucks that it has gotten this messy but both of you seem like intelligent enough guys to stfu and just get the bet settled.

I agree that WVU wouldn't have paid at all. I know that was the plan but a bet was made prior to the playoffs and both players agreed to the terms. Nowhere in the terms does it say "must be contactable throughout playoffs or must respond to posts or emails etc."
I know for a fact humans are creatures of habit and WVU posted on here everyday for months and then just stopped cold turkey only to magically reappear after he won the bet. He claims he didn't have time but it takes no more than 30 seconds in a day to respond to a post or email. That excuse is just stupid.
Would he have paid? Probably not but he still won the bet and should be paid. This second situation with lap has nothing to do with WVU and a totaly different situation.

I think this place was more than just a place of employment to you. I think a proper analogy would be a bar. A bar, like theRX, is a place where people hang out after work talking sports, and betting and generally talking shit. If someone hired you to be a bartender at the bar and then you no longer were working as bartender, would you stop going to the bar?
Perhaps you would go to another bar because you got tired of the people or liked the other bar better. But if you made a bet at the one bar and then stopped going to that bar you can't expect people to wonder why you didn't stop by the bar again especially if the bet looked like it had a better chance of losing.
It seems pretty obvious that he is posting full time over there now because he is getting paid, controversial posters bring in the most traffic, the more hated the are the more people sign up just to tell them to go fuck theirselves or to kill theirselves. WVU, JMAN, 5Star, PO69, all these POS bring in traffic and thats what makes the money. Atleast this is what GJ has taught me. Seriously though fuck WVU.
