What makes you say that? Is there anyway to give us the option of keeping the same basic look if we want to?

http://Footballguys.com used to have Infopop and it was the same problems there. They left it and there have been zroe problems since.

BTW - they have some lurkers here. Almost sure Borat is a member there (under a different name of course).

Hello guys, thanks for all the feedback that you are provinding. We are already working on a plan to get a new Forum. VBulletin is a very good option that we are analizing. Probably we will be setting up a test enviroment and when that is done we will let you all know so you can give us more feedback. I will be looking into http://forums.invisionpower.com/ software as well. Thanks again for all your opinions.

Just for the record - experiencing as little down time as possible is a high priority with Rx. management. Everyone from upper management to Tech support to the moderating team hates to see the forum go off line for any reason. Personally I wish Infopop could guarantee more consistency avoiding downtime, but if that is not the case then I sincerely hope we can find a home elsewhere that will offer the best and most convienent forum for our loyal posters. Thanks for your patience and valued feedback in this important matter.

Wil, I know what you mean. downtime is no good for anyone from poster, management and advertisers here. but, what is more important than that is not to miss a beat at all. The techies should be able to get everything switched over perty fast though. So, i dont think there would be much down time at all really.but, it really is a must to get new s/w IMHOO.

dante, i agree with you about the s/w your sugguesting. i know the VB s/w has alot more features than invasion though and truth be told it's easier to navigate. plus with the new 3.0 s/w that they have out there right now you don't have to click on every post to see what the contents of the post is. all you have to do is put the mouse pointer over the topic and read it. that saves alot of posters time right there alone. plus if you read the VB fourms you will find so much more features you can use it's not even funny and if the techies are really good they could really be creative with this s/w

Use the software from OGD, and you have the best option available.

Slash,

They go down as often as we do...

And, with 1/100th the traffic...

Not too sure about that suggestion...

Hehe, didn't know!

Just love the sw. Anything is better than the current infopop thing though.

are you better off with Infopop - or without them? to me - based on all that has happened recently - pretty easy ??? to answer.

if switching over means going offline for a few hours, do it at a slow time - like a tuesday morning when it won't kill anything feetball related and before the MLB playoffs begin.

Shrink, if you are not the owner of the RX anymore (and we all know that you are in fact the owner), why would you make the decision on leaving infopop!

By the way, I would stick with infopop

OK Bigshot, put in 10k at Pinny, and I will give you ten to one odds on me NOT being an owner. Either do it or shut up!

The new owners trust my judgement and I do have a lot of say so in what goes on here...

I promised to hang around as a consultant indefinitely after I sold the company long ago...

playersonly69,

While in Las Vegas, I met privately with the new owners of TheRx.com & it was very clear to me that SHRINK has no vested interest here any longer other than as a consultant. I seen first hand who was making the decisions. So, please stop the nonsense as if you are in the know of something that you have no idea about.

Thanks

Getting a little defensive on the subject arent you!

A better way to answer the statement would have been no reply at all, but then again, that never seems to happen around here

Players....I also must say that while at the bash I was there when one of the owners addressed all the Rx'ers that came to the banquet....(MartyJ)
and I was introduced to the other owner who was at the party as well but did not talk to him.....so I doubt Shrink owns the RX anymore.. I guess if its your passion to make some decisions for the site you started you just want to keep doing it

IMO thats why ken still wants to be a part of the decision process

I think the "Privacy" issue is really the key to actually going even "Larger" in the market of-course as well as net-speed (2 Main factors for most.)

As for myself,
Create a forum of your own from the software up, Hell we're all with you, just let us know how we can help !
