hey, what does it mean to have a bet that says over 2/2.5 or -1.5/2.. i never bet soccer before so I was confused when I seen this option

Your bet is split in half. For instance, if the o/u is 2/2.5 @ even and you have over for $100, the final score is 2-0 you push on $50 and lose $50.
