would have taken 2-1 or even 2-2 oh well crappy spiltsville. Now lets move on to Mancini that dunce, read an article today on how Green Bay doesn't play scared and they're "going for it" and that's alluding to achieving a perfect season, etc. Now what Mancini did today is the ANTESIS of this, not sure if this is an Italian thing or what, honestly I can care less but if I was the owner of that team and had bought MYSELF a better 2nd team than 98% of the world's 1st team you don't play NOT TO LOSE. Pathetic peons.

VR,
It's an Italian thing.
The 2nd half started that way and the commentators eluded to that fact as well.
Then that Red Card hit City and that was it.
I'm still dissappointed with the Ref. It seems he grew a pair of testicles at half-time;
but couldn't pull the trigger on a clear penalty in the box against the home side in the 1st half.
It's a looooooooooooong season.

For those that may have not seen what happened, Mancini took out two attackers for defenders when the score was tied 1-1 with at least 1/5th or so of the match to be played. Another thing I'm realizing is his reluctance to play Adam Johnson in favor of Milner or Barry which is as defensive minded as you can get particularly when Richards is out with an injury. Tell you where I'm getting at, soccer is won with skill but also PACE and this is mainly the reason for Arsenal resurgence having both Walcott and Gervinho playing the wings and flying by defenders which in effect makes RVP finishes so glamorous. Not to take anything away from the Dutchman as even his last goal was sheer brilliance but most of this is due to the confidence gained after some easier finishes due to Walcotts and the Brazilians runs. Not to get redundant here but these clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid win due to both of these assets and City reluctance to use them, i.e. tonight.

welcome to being a city fan...and this isn't in defense of the wop..but he took off silva and aguero in lieu of kolo and de jong to secure a point being a man down at that point....and here's the damning part...they let the penalty happen and go down a goal with i believe 8 mins left and what does the brilliant dego do?...he subs the penalty maker lescot for an attacker in dzeko???..yeah, you do that math?...it's frustrating....because we shouldn't have given that game let alone points away to a chelsea side we had dominated til yaya gave away the pass that led to chelski's first goal towards the end of the first half...and we pissed away about 3 other scoring opportunities...the penalty on silva can go either way..if he wasn't such a spanish dive team enthusiast he might have gotten that call....but like i wrote in my thread...yaya can't get to the african cup quick enuff...his touches today were gross(and i am being astoundingly kind!!!)....clichy and lescot were lost and i will be the first to say as a huge sky blue supporter that our defense is dregs...it's all smoke and mirrors...it just gets pushed aside due to a world class attack...and it shows our weakness when we don't score 5 goals a match that defending will win us championships and we can barely do that...cheers from a realistic city fan

Very well said. I also questioned starting Milner in this match in the other thread. Had Clichy not received the sending off, Johnson for sure would have come on and made things happen.

With Arsenals run of form since signing Arteta and Merte, I am loving the value of the Arsenal/City draw at a valuable return of +280.

Also eyeing up a Swansea and Newcastle draw +275.

Chelsea -250 and Utd -240 parlay.

Cocktails,

I'd love to see Kolarov get more play. I think he is more dangerous than Clichy with his attack, plus he's better at set pieces.

Silva is the best player in the league, by far... This team could play so many damn formations it's disgusting. They are so deep, yet I still think United wins it this year.

My Gunners need another signing and for Wilshere and Gibbs to get healthy... plus tons of help...

Agree with Koralov and as for your other point this is why too much of good thing can be a bad thing. Wishere, Gibbs, Vermaelan, RVP, two wingers and Song staying healthy with an upgrade of Arteta and a guy like Podolski to help up front will be the clincher to make Arsenal a force.

City best LINE UP IMHO Kun/Balotelli, Silva/Johnson//Yaya/De Jong (or Barry) Koralov, etc. Milner should only be used against quicker sides.

Nasri has a sweet job eh. He serves two purposes 1) In case Silva gets massacred 2) For those pesky Carling, FA cup type matches

problem w/kolarov is he is slow and plays too far up the pitch...that is not in mancini's wheelhouse for a left fullback...i have said it b4...city play w/a keeper...2 center backs and 8 attack men....the 2 fullbacks play like wingers..which is all well and good cuz they play more often than not rather well...but they are very vulnerable on the counterm week in and week out...pretty much the reason we fucked away both napoli matches..yeah i am still bitter...

very true Clichy and Richards have much better pace, but I hardly agree with 8 attack men when they have Barry and Milner in their particularly Barry hes hardly a formidable attacker, give me Johnson any day.
