It looks by what he said in his post that Shiller got our message about money management or lack of it.
That said, if tonight's ratings are representative of what we are going to see moving forward on a daily basis, imo there are still way too many big rated plays.
Even eight times one's regular plays should be far from an every day occurrence according to generally accepted money management principles.

Savage you are steadfast I'll give you that. But I wonder if you realize you are trying to teach 12th grade World Literature to 7th graders? People in here don't want to learn. Heck half of them don't even want to win, just to have someone else to blame when they lose.

It's hard to tell when someone is a Pro in a short period of time. Others wear their lack of pedigree with their first day of selling picks. The fakes like Shiller make it obvious they possess no more knowledge about surviving, let alone thriving in the world of 11/10 than the average poster with his hand on the scrollwheel.

Very well put Scott L.
I would also said that seasoned veterans like you and me who have been around a long time have an easier time disntiguish the real sincere and honest cappers who are trying to make money for their clients by using honest and realstic ratings from those who put more emphasis on bringing attention to themselves first with their scripted ratings.
Obviously also, the younger and/or the less experienced the potential client is, the more gullible he is likely to be and to believe that a play which is rated 8,10,20, 50, one thousand, one million, etc times his normal play and/or the more he pays for the play(s), the more likely it is that the play(s) will win.
In all fairness, I think that some of the cappers who are young themselves might actually think that there are plays which deserve to be rated 5,10, 20, 50, etc. times the regular amount every day of the week,
One of the things I actually like about the NC Community Cappers(I think that overall over time most of them are very mediocre)is that they are permitted one 5* a month(that is their highest rating) and the rest lower.
This means that although in theory the ratings are from 1-5*'s, in reality just about every play I have ever seen posted from these guys is 3* , 4* or 5*.
In essence this means that their monthly 5* is rated slightly less than double their standard 3*.
For me and from I have heard from most professional gamblers, most have many every day regular plays, some double plays and perhaps a triple play on special occasion-ceertainly not triple plays on up every freaking day of the week.

Savage, a 'handicapper' starts with a service. Then he somehow finds a bunch of other guys to go on a comp line or website with him. How do you become one of those guys? He marries your aunt. Now you're a 'handicapper'. So every morning you wake up, post your picks for sale (that he takes 66% of, and that get begged for everyday here on this forum), and go do your mail route. Now I can't say who because I genuinely like the guy. But that's the business!

Lol-Good one Scott but nor far from reality.
Every time I see a new person or is it roach who crawls out of the woodwork in this or any forum(Lots of new ones of late) and the picks are posted, the first thought which comes to mind is who the fu k is this guy-I never heard of him and simply assume that it is someone new just trying his hand to try to "earn" a few bucks.
Of course, we usually get all kinds of undocumented records to show how good they are or even some decent documented records over a few days or so), and naturally there are some who are going to believe this, lick their chops and start planning for their own retirement because they will make so much money playing these games.
Then of course the inevitable happens-these everyday folks who refer to themselves as services but who in reality are nothing more than everyday gamblers start to lose, raise the ratings as they continue to lose in order to get back the units lost and/or to simply bring attention to themselves to potential newbies and then the Groundhog Scenario starts all over again with the only one making money being the capper who received payment for the picks.
And of course, younger folks and/or those who are new to gambling really think they have a lock and a bargain lock when Joe the Capper tells them that he has a game which is the strongest he has seen in years but tells the potential client that this game normally sells for $500 today, but in effort to win their business he is going to sell it for $100; then of course more often than not the game loses.
Then the capper usually waits for a few days or so for the stink to wear off and then it starts up all over again with another big if not bigger play.
I could go on, but for you anyways I am sure there is nothing new here-hopefully someone will get something out of this who hasn't been around the block a few times.
