Phoenix Suns
vs. Orlando Magic
Orlando comes home after a 3 game road trip that saw them go 2-1, they are an amazing 13-2 ATS after 3 consecutive road games. The Magic are also 48-21 ATS the last 3 first halves of seasons. Phoenix, on the other hand, comes off a tough win in Miami, they are an experienced (old) team in a back to back game situation against one of the best 5 teams in all of basketball. Orlando’s physical style and defense will take care of the Suns. Orlando covers tonight.

Washington Capitals
vs. New Jersey Devils
After winning 5 straight, the Capitals have lost their last 2, and now are missing the NHL’s most dynamic scorer since a young Mario Lemieux (Alex Ovechkin). Meanwhile the Devils have won 8 out of the last 10 games behind G Martin Brodeur, who is 3-1 in his last 4 games with an almost 93% save percentage. The Capitals will sorely miss Ovechkin, especially against a great goalie like Brodeur.

Carolina Hurricanes
vs. Florida Panthers
The Panthers have won two in a row while the Hurricanes are reeling after losing nine games in a row and are playing without Eric Staal, one of their best players. The Panthers are scoring more than a goal a game more than Carolina in the teams’ last five outings overall. The Panthers seek revenge against a Carolina team that beat them on 10/9 /09.

Philadelphia Phillies
vs. New York Yankees
Again the Yankees face a very familiar foe in Pedro Martinez, who looked great the first 5 innings against the Yanks in game 2 but was rocked for 4 runs the next 2. Yankees starter Andy Pettite was gutty in game 3, even helping his team with an RBI single. Yankees are benefitted from coming back to NY and getting their DH Hideki Matsui back in the lineup. New Yankees Stadium will definitely be rocking tonight, with the crowd expecting their 27th championship. The Yanks and specially Pettite will not let them down.

Adam Meyer is cold as ice, but Lou Sawyer has only lost 5 NHL games all season.
