Davis write up.. He rights a novel here is the gist.

The Rockies are 15-3 in De La Rosa's last 18 starts, 6-1 in his last 7 road starts, 10-1 in his last 11 starts on 4 days of rest, 6-1 in his last 7 starts vs. teams from the NL West, and 5-0 in his last 5 starts when the total is listed between 7 and 8 (usually meaning he's facing a good pitcher). And for what it's worth... Lazaro Diaz is tonight's home plate ump. That might not seem significant other than the fact that the road team is 5-1 in his last 6 games behind the dish. It might be too early for anything to be called a "must win" game, but if there was ever such a thing for the Rockies... this is it. They simply can't afford to lose another game to the Giants tonight and I believe you'll see one of the better efforts we've seen in quite a while from the Rocks. Top play of the day on the underdog Colorado Rockies over San Francisco.

Rockies at Giants
GIANTS - After four straight losses, all against NL West rivals, the San Francisco Giants seem to have gotten back into their groove.

The Rockies, on the other hand, have gotten caught in a downward spiral after winning 10 of 11 games and winning 8 straight. Including last night’s loss at the Giants, the Rockies have now lost four straight games, while San Francisco is now on a 3-game winning streak.

And this teetering has also been the story in this season series between these two teams, battling for a wild-card spot and even a division title.

The Giants began the season taking 2 of 3 from Colorado then lost 6 of their next 9 against the Rockies. But since extra inning loss on Aug. 24, San Francisco has taken five straight against Colorado, including last night’s easy win.

Tonight, the Giants will make it 6 in a row against the NL West rival.

San Francisco comes into this game having won 3 of its last 4 games with scheduled starter Matt Cain on the mound and is 10-2 its last 12 games at home with Cain starting.

The Giants also come into this game having won 3 straight games in which Cain starts against the Rockies. They’ll make it 4 in a row tonight.

Athletics at Rangers
ATHLETICS - The line for this Athletics-Rangers game is absolutely ridiculous. The A’s are installed as a huge underdog and we are going to absolutely take advantage of that.

The A’s beat up on the Rangers 6-1 yesterday a day after blanking Texas 9-0.

With yesterday’s win Oakland has now won 7 of its last 9 games overall and has taken 6 of its last 7 against the Rangers.

The Rangers, on the other hand, have dug themselves into a hole lately. Texas began this month winning 7 of its first 9 games, but has gone 1-4 its last 5.

Texas now has to rely on scheduled starting pitcher Dustin Nippert, who has been throwing out of the bullpen most of this month, having not started since Sept. 1.

Opposite Nippert will be A’s scheduled starter Trevor Cahill, who has been solid for Oakland lately. The A’s are 4-1 his last five starts.

Oakland will cash in again with Cahill on the mound as they get over as a road dog in Texas. Take the Athletics in this one tonight.

Stan Sharp-

Stan is Betting LA ANGELS. Last night Stan was all over Boston as he knew Matsuzaka would have a Big Game. Tonight it's a different story as the Angels send a Red Hot Joe Saunders to the mound. Saunders is on a roll giving up 3 Runs in his last 3 starts. Saunders has been the stopper this year as Saunders is 11-1 when he starts and the Angels have lost 2 games or more in a row. TAKE LA ANGELS as STAN'S TRIPLE DIME MISMATCH GAME OF THE MONTH and make them a TRIPLE DIME PLAY.

15* on Baltimore Orioles -110 at 5DIMES
The Rays have lost 12 of their last 13 games, and have taken themselves completely out of the playoff picture this year. You can point to both their hitting and pitching of late. The Rays are hitting .226 as a team and scoring just 2.7 runs per game over their last 7 offensively. Starting pitcher, Andy Sonnastine was reliable for the Rays for last year's run, but he has been anything but lately, going 1-2 with a 11.25 ERA and 2.33 WHIP over his last 3 starts, and is now 1-8 with a 9.25 ERA and 1.83 WHIP in 10 road starts overall this season. Baltimore has Chris Tillman throwing, and while he has started just 9 games this season, I think he picks up his 3rd win behind an Orioles' offense that is hitting .297 and averaging 5.6 runs per game over the past week.
