40 DIMER - NORTHWESTERN (6:30 pm tip!!!!).....20 DIMER - GEORGE WASHINGTON....10 DIMER - ARKANSAS 40 DIMER - NORTHWESTERN WILDCATS - 6:30 PM TIP-OFF!!!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I like this Purdue edition. I feel the Boilers have plenty of upside as we head into the Big Dance, but tonight at 6:30 pm they are simply laying too many points!
Northwestern has won 2 in a row, and 3 of their last 4 to up their mark to 16-11, and it appears that the Wildcats will at least be NIT-bound for sure.
The 'Cats gave the Boilermakers all they could handle in the 1st meeting in Evanston, leading big through most of the game before falling by 3 as the 4-point home dog, as Northwestern has covered 6 of the last 10 series showdowns.
Purdue has been spotty at best when laying points of late, as the Boilermakers have failed in 4 of their last 7 as the favorite.
The Boilermakers also have a big road date in East Lansing to conclude the regular season, so I can very easily see Purdue winning this game by 8, but failing to cover this big, big impost.
Take the points!
20 DIMER - GEORGE WASHINGTON COLONIALS
Another nice dog play tonight goes on George Washington, as the Colonials are off back-to-back upset wins over conference foes Richmond, and NC Charlotte. Overall, GW has won 3 of their last 4, while UMass has dropped 4 of their last 5 both straight up, and against the spread.
The Colonials are a money-making 8-3-2 against the spread their last 13 games, and they have also been able to split the 6 series meetings both straight up, and against the spread.
Both teams have just 10 wins this year, but you can see that at least Washington appears to be closing the season out by competing, while the best you can say about the Minutemen is they are at least putting on their uniforms.
I will take the points.
10 DIMER - ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS
Revenge time for the Hogs who were 65-74 losers at Oxford back in mid-January, and while the Razorbacks have won just 1 time in their last 9 games, that win did come in convincing fashion last time out against UGA.
The injury toll the Rebels have endured this season may finally be catching up with them, as they have lost their last pair, and 4 of their last 5 overall.
Series history shows this to be a very home-oriented series, as the host is a whopping 14-3-2 against the spread the last 19 times these schools have clashed.
Look for Arkansas to "hold serve" tonight.
Lay the small home wood as the Razorbacks make it 2 straight wins and covers
