Wise Guy…
BAYLOR +3.5 Oklahoma
ESPN Game of the Year
Time and time again slumping good teams put it all together at home against superior teams. Baylor is much more talented than they’ve shown lately, but now have the big game to rally around.
While Baylor’s struggles are obvious, Oklahoma has more quietly shown some vulnerability with lackluster home wins over Texas A&M and Colorado both by six or less.
DAYTON +3.5 Xavier
Dayton is 14-0 straight up at home. The Musketeers will have their inexperienced guards in the grip of Dayton's pressure defense when they play one of the Atlantic 10's premier games at UD Arena. The Flyers have as good a chance as anyone to expose Xavier's biggest weakness.
Xavier came down to earth in our Wise Guy win on Duquesne and now faces a road game against a team that matches up perfectly against them.
Three freshmen — Terrell Holloway, 3-point specialist Brad Redford and 7-foot-center Kenny Frease — had settled into roles during the 11-game winning streak. Holloway is struggling again, and Frease sprained his right ankle during the loss at Duquesne, limiting him to four minutes. Miller doesn't know if he'll be able to play at Dayton. <!-- / message -->
