EDMONTON -½ +1.26 over Los Angeles

The Kings have been so good this year. They’ve played way beyond expectations and then some. They have 45 points, which is one point behind the league leader, Washington. However, they’ve played 35 games thus far, which is the most of any team in the NHL. They’re also losing some key bodies, as Wayne Simmonds is out and last night Jarret Stoll left the game and his return tonight is highly unlikely. This is also the Kings third game in four days after that 3-1 loss in Vancouver last night. They were extremely flat yesterday and could be running strictly on fumes tonight and without two of its most important players, Stoll and Simmonds, this assignment becomes even more difficult. The Oilers return home from a five-game trip and that’s usually not the best time to jump on board. Thing is, they won all five games on that trip, they’ve been off since Friday and the packed house and the noise that goes with it has to keep them energized. So, while the Kings are losing bodies and are dead tired the Oilers are rested and getting some back, as another good Oiler Denis Grebeshkov, makes his return tonight after being out since Nov 11. Play: Edmonton -½ +1.26 (Risking 2 units).

LANG:

You have no idea how great it felt to be on the right side of all those turnovers last night.

I have spent months, even years inside here ranting about how many games I have lost because of turnovers and quite frankly, the Niners probably do get blown out if Arizona doesn't hand the ball to the San Fran 7 times.

However, be that as it may, when the entire betting world is on one side as much as everyone was on the Cardinals last night including every handicapper on this site with exception of me, Michael Cannon and Drew Gordon, crazy things happen.

Crazy as in 7 turnovers and another nice Monday night winner.

So now with that winner out of the way bringing the NFL run to 21-8-2 with paid and comp plays the last 6 weeks including winning 5 of the last 7 Sundays and 4 of the last 6 Mondays as well.

My NFL run in November and December has been absolutely on fire across the board. As consistent a winning product as you can ask for and I fully expect it to continue.

So until we get to Indy-Jacksonville on Thursday, it's about one rock solid college hoop play tonight as I look for a 3rd straight winning day.

10 DIME - MURRAY STATE RACERS - Like the makeup of this Murray State team.

They return 3 starters and 3 other players who saw significant minutes from a squad that went 19-12 last year and found themselves opening the season at Cal as a 13 point underdog.

No worries as they were in the game the whole way before succumbing down the stretch 75-70 easily getting the cover, while outrebounding the bigger Bears 30-28.

No worries as they have sinced reeled off 8 wins in a row SU, and this team is coming together rather nicely led by Ivan Aska, Danero Thomas and Tony Easley cleaning up the glass.

Now they face a Louisiana Tech team coming off a bad effort at Arizona losing 83-67 as a 5 point dog and then followed that up with a very lack luster effort at Centenary.

Facing a squad that is picked last in by everyone in the Summit league, L'Tech had to go to overtime to get a hard fought 102-96 win in a game they allowed 48 first half points and were down 16.

I truly feel Murray State is the better team here and with the linemaker is trying to trap you here with a low 2 point home number, it's a trap I won't fall for this time around.

Going to grab the small dog to take care of business and get the road win for their 9th straight win overall.

Tuesday NCAAB play GC

On Tuesday the NCAAB play is on Rider. Game 725 at 7:30 eastern. Rider will not be intimidated by the Big East Conference or Rutgers. In fact in their last trip here to Rutgers they won here as a road dog. Last year they played Rutgers right down to the wire in a narrow loss. This year they come in as 7 point dogs having played a tougher schedule then Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights are in off 3 straight non conference wins over some real cup cakes. Tonight they will get a tough game from a Rider squad that is 19-7 vs teams who allow 65 points per game or less. Rutgers is just 6-38 vs winning teams,4-9 ats after allowing 60 or less and 1-4 ats as a home favorite in this range. Take the points tonight with Rider. On Tuesday I have a Monster 6 unit NBA play that has a Huge 29-3 Power system attached to the game. Last night we started off with the 49ers on Monday night football as we shoot for an 8th straight winning week. Take Rider tonight in College hoops. BOL GC

Complimentary Picks and Analysis
Game: New York Knicks at Charlotte (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: Game Total UNDER 198.5 -110
The Charlotte Bobcats are an improved team and have played tough at home all season, where they are 8-3. One of the reasons is that this is a team not afraid to play defense and is never in a hurry on the offensive end. They are allowing just 91.5 points per game, and favored here, so the Knicks will have to score to push this one over the total. This one looks about right based on the 102-100 game they played here early in the season, but what goes unnoticed is that the game went to OT and was tied at 82 in regulation, just 164 points scored. The Knicks are 17-8 to the UNDER after a game in which they scored 100 or more. I like this one to go UNDER the total.

GINA'S NBA PREDICTION
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 7:00 p.m. est.
New York Knicks (8-15) at Charlotte Bobcats (9-13)
The surging New York Knicks have come alive and will try to take their fifth straight victory tonight. However, Charlotte has played well against the Knicks and profitable. Charlotte Bobcats are 6-2 both straight-up and against the spread in their last 8 games against New York and have won seven of the 10 meetings against them at home, going 7-3 ATS.

Charlotte Bobcats -4½

Top of the Ticket

Georgia State Panthers(+18) over FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES
4* #715 GEORGIA STATE over FLORIDA STATE

When we see a Side this high and a Total this low the oddsmakers are calling for extreme dominance by the favorite. We can not put this matchup anywhere near that projection, and in a slowly-paced affair with intense defense from both sides, points are so hard to come by that this pointspread is a mountain to overcome. To view from a different angle, based on the current Side/Total, the oddsmakers are calling for Florida State to score slightly more than 57 percent of all of the game?s points. That is a plateau that we rarely find, and the Seminoles will be hard-pressed to make that happen. They are going to be able to grind out some wins because of their superb defense, but offense is another matter entirely ? they are averaging a hideous 18 turnovers per game, and are -39 in assist to turnover ratio, while only knocking down 64.2 percent of their free throws. In five of six lined games they have failed to reach 65 points. Now that offense will show up out of sync in playing for the first time in nine days, and with bigger games on deck (they host Auburn Thursday, then the A.C.C. opener at Georgia Tech on Sunday) do not look for Leonard Hamilton to be margin-conscious here. Georgia State will have its own struggles on offense, but Rod Barnes has a veteran roster that has had a couple of seasons to buy into his defensive principles, and with four SR?s in the starting lineup, and two more in key spots in the rotation, it shows ? they have yet to allow any team to score more than 70 points, holding the opposition to 37.4 percent from the field and 23.3 from 3-point range. This is also a much easier adjustment than the usual one-off road trip, since they have been in Tallahassee since Saturday, losing a 60-58 heat-breaker to Florida A&M down the street on Sunday afternoon. Having battled F.S.U. to the wire in a 62-57 home loss LY they bring the confidence level of knowing that they can compete against this opponent, and their tenacity on defense keeps this much closer than the market projections.

NBA Selections
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 7:00 PM EST.
New Jersey Nets (2-22) at Cleveland Cavaliers (17-7)
New Jersey Nets have been dreadful, just 2-22 this season and 1-20 on the road. Look for LeBron James and squad to blow away the gloomy Nets. New Jersey comatose offense is averaging just 89 points per game.
Cleveland Cavaliers -14

CBB
Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles -8.5
St. Mary's Gaels -15
