15 Dime Astros
5 Dime Red Sox

15 Dime Astros - Told you Roy Oswalt was money against this struggling Padres lineup.

Now we bank on Mike Hampton to bring his record even and hit .500, while he lowers his ERA. Shouldn't be too hard, just check these facts and figures out: San Diego ranks last in the bigs with a paltry 287 runs (3.8 per game), it is batting .236 and has lost 17 of 25 games this month.

Houston has won six straight games against the Friars, and is now 13-4 against teams out of the NL West. Not too shabby, and we'll build upon that with tonight's win.

After all, as long as the N.L. Central race appears to be wide open as near the halfway point, Houston has much more motivation to be concerned with, than continuing its domination of the West. There are only six games separating first-place Milwaukee from last-place Pittsburgh, and the Astros are in the middle of the mix, sitting four back of the Brewers.

Since a nasty 2-9 slide in mid-May, the Astros have won 18 of their last 29 since May 29, including four of five most recently.

Look for the winning to continue and the 'Stros to get it done at pitcher-friendly PETCO.

5 Dime Red Sox - If this all sounds familiar, it's because you were part of my 4-1 night Monday, and read how the Red Sox would open the series with the Orioles and win on the Run Line. Well, as they say, if it ain't broke, you don't fix it. And my philosophy stands the same with this game tonight, as it did in the first game.

The Red Sox boast the best team in baseball, regardless of whether they have the best record in baseball (it is second best). Hands down - Boston is the best team.

The American League East-leading Red Sox got on track with the offense last night, somewhat, and delivered a 4-0 win, their ninth straight over the Orioles. The O's came into this series with the majors’ third-worst ERA (4.97), so I don't suspect it gets any easier, especially when we take a look inside the series numbers.

Let's start with the meeting in April, when the Sox hosted and outscored Baltimore 30-14 and swept the four-game series. Boston has plated 60 runs in winning the last eight meetings, while it has won 12 of the last 13 in the series and six of the last eight at Camden Yards.

The Orioles are coming off two straight losses - Sunday’s 5-3 setback to Washington and last night's 4-0 loss. That makes it five of seven losses for Baltimore.

Mets paid by me gl guys

Game of Month favorite for Larry Ness loses again.

He gets a lot of requests but not sure why. Beware of this guy in BB.

He'll pick 2 or 3 favorites a night and go 1-1 or 1-2 and lose money.

Nice I love fading off Ole Lar

Well better than usual last night.
Two favorites, two losses.
I didn't include last nights games in the last ten above:

<TABLE class=data id=hcPicks_tblHandicapperPicks cellSpacing=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=datahead width="17%">Date </TD><TD class=datahead width="10%">W/L</TD><TD class=datahead width="15%">Sport</TD><TD class=datahead width="48%">Pick</TD><TD class=datahead align=right width="10%">Units</TD></TR><TR><TD class=datacell>06/30/09</TD><TD class=datacell>Loss</TD><TD class=datacell>MLB</TD><TD class=datacell>New York Mets</TD><TD class=datacell align=right>-1152</TD></TR><TR><TD class=datacell>06/30/09</TD><TD class=datacell>Loss</TD><TD class=datacell>MLB</TD><TD class=datacell>Boston Red Sox</TD><TD class=datacell align=right>-984</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

That's 4 - 8 in the last five days with all favorites.

Net : MINUS 4,753.

Yet, he'll post some type of Game of the Year AGAIN in the next day or two and there will be a half dozen requests for it.

Hope it's for a fade like you do, MTOMTO, and not for the play itself. Good luck.
