I feel bad for the buy-in game teams - whoever wins is just facing a 40 point blowout come friday. Why even play the fucking game.

As a graduate of Morehead State University, I can assure you they don't care who they play next or how bad they get blown out. They have no aspirations of a national title. They won their conference and are making their first appearance in the dance in years (20+ I think). This is exactly what these kids have played for all year long. Little schools like Morehead, and any other 16 seed have 1 goal in the preseason..... make the dance. Trust me, whether they lose by 1 or by 50 they'll look back on this season as a success.

my alma mater, montclair state university, doesnt even have a basketball team (or at least I think) it sucks so bad, so at least you get to have some sort of school pride.
