DALLAS DAVE SPORTS
Josh Johnson and the Marlins conclude a four-game series against the Brewers and Chris Capuano. Last night, Milwaukee won for the first time in the series, 7 to 4.
Today, the Marlins will give the ball to Johnson (5-2, 2.19 ERA), who has given up only one earned run over his last four starts, going 2-1. The one loss was to Roy Holliday and his perfect game, where Capuano surrendered an unearned run in seven innings as Florida was defeated 1-0. Johnson is 4-1 with a 1.53 ERA in seven starts at home.
Due to Tommy John surgery, this will be Capuano's first start since Sept. 28, 2007. And according to ESPN Stats and Information, Milwaukee has lost 22 straight games in which Capuano has pitched, including 18 straight starts. That is one game shy for tying the most consecutive team games lost when started by a single pitcher. Milwaukee has not won a game in which Capuano has pitched since May 7, 2007 and he is 0-12 since that date. Enough said! Florida 7 Milwaukee 3
