Dallas was out-worked on the boards in game 1 and losing the offensive rebound battle 6 to 16 was a big reason for an 8 point loss. However, the Mavericks should be better in game 2 and are worth another bet. Dallas is still 21-4 ATS (and 17-8 straight up) as an underdog with Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler both in the lineup (7-1 ATS in the playoffs) and the Mavs apply to a very good 40-9-1 ATS playoff bounce-back situation. My ratings favor Miami by just 3 1/2 points, so there is some line value to go along with the great situation and the Mavericks' good dog record. I'll take Dallas in a 3-Star Best Bet at +4 points or more and for 2-Stars at +3 1/2 points.

Texas got an infusion of offensive firepower in their lineup with Hamilton and Cruz now healthy. The Rangers should get the best of the Indians' Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco did win his last 3 starts but should struggle against a team that lit him up for 5 runs in 5 innings in 2009. TX is 4-0 O/U against a pitcher with a WHIP greater than 1.30. And the Rangers are 4-0 O/U when their opponent allows 5 runs or more previously. Cleveland, which is 12-4 O/U at home, is 7-2 O/U with Carrasco as the starter. The Indians should give him run support against Dave Bush. Bush, as we recall in his days at Milwaukee, struggled mightily on the road. Bush is sporting a bloated 4.43 ERA in a part-time role with Texas. He sports a lofty 5.55 ERA in 4 starts vs Cleveland. The rejuvenated bats of Cleveland are 4-0 O/U vs a pitcher with a WHIP of greater than 1.30. With both pitchers unlikely to last deep into this game, we'll call for early relief and plenty of runs.
