I got a couple replies to my hockey picks yesterday, glad someone is reading & benefitting from them. For those who haven't followed, I've won 11 of 12 series so far. Am usually a series player because after 4 wins, the book pays you. If you play each gm. by itself you could go 4-3 & lose money because of the vig. In the cup I am taking a different approach for a few reasons: the series line is pretty close, no matter what the newspaper says-these teams are not similar, & home ice is going to be the biggest factor in capping the series. Take Pittsgurgh @ the Igloo because the ice is going to have a better sheen than Sir Charles head, the Pens are going to skate their asses off, & don't forget they get last line change. In Squid city @ the Joe the ice is going to look like my front lawn in winter, Detroit is going to forecheck the hell out of the Pens, clog up the neutral zone taking away their superior skating skills, & again have last line change. Bet the home team in the first 6 gm. then just enjoy gm 7 while counting your money unless Detroit steals one in Pitts. As far as the ov/un I look for 5 in gms. @ the Joe and 5.5 @ the Igloo. We'll play that one gm. by gm. but give me 5.5 in Det. look to the under in gm.1.BOL

Interesting take on home ice - I agree with it - I was liking the over in game 1 giving ther Pens O the nod until Detroit D figures em out! Plus, the Igloo has been mighty nice to the Pens !!!!!

Boston was able to take advantage of a banged up Chauncey Billups and feed off of their home court advantage in game one. They were able to dominate the Pistons throughout the contest, as they appeared very sluggish. The Celtics come into this game with alot of momentum and confidence after a fairly easy win in game one. I expect them to get up early and for Detroit to pack it in as they head home for games three and four.
