The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

PICK 'N' ROLL

Thursday’s Best NBA Bet

Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks (+3.5, 178.5)

Jamal Crawford has to score for the Hawks and it doesn't look like he's going to be able to get it going again this series.

Crawford, one of the top sixth man and best streak-shooters in the league, was a beast in Game 1 when he torched Chicago for 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting.

Considering the rest of the team’s bench consists of Damien Wilkens, Jason Collins and Zaza Pachulia, Atlanta needs him to find some pop to help the team score.

But since then, he has gone just 11-of-37 from the field and 2-for-16 from beyond the arc. He is ice cold and without him, Atlanta is having a hard time generating any consistent outside threat. In the Hawks only other win, Crawford had his second best game of the series, making 5-of-11 shots and finishing with 12 points.

Crawford has just 20 total points in the three losses combined.

“One of our biggest demises is when we start holding the ball too long, not playing out of the double team,” Atlanta Coach Larry Drew said. “When we start doing that, we become very predictable. We become very easy to defend.”

No passes out of double teams mean no open jumpers for Crawford and no Crawford jumpers means he stays cold. One-on-one, the perimeter defense of Keith Bogans and Ronnie Brewer is proving just too much for the Hawks.

ICE PICKS

Thursday's Best NHL Bet

Detroit Red Wings at San Jose Sharks (-125, 5.5)

San Jose has lost its confidence.

"Just refocus. Get ready for Game 7 at home. Forget about tonight," San Jose captain Joe Thornton said after his team’s Game 6 defeat. "We didn’t play very well."

The Sharks have given up a startling 11 goals the past three games and have been dominated in the third period in each of those outings. Even more stunning is the disappearance of the team’s power play.

"Our power play can be better," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "Look at the people we put on the ice and the numbers they've put up the last three years. We need our power play. They'll be challenged to create at least little more momentum."

San Jose jumped out to a 3-0 thanks to the outstanding play of its man-up unit, going 4-for-15 with the man advantage to start the series. However, since going cold up a man, the team has struggled to put continual pressure on Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard. As a result, he has been able to regain his confidence and make a few key saves late to keep his team in the series.

Following a Game 6 Detroit win that saw them outshoot the visitors 45-25, Howard was just trying to keep loose and in the game.

"(Niemi) was getting absolutely peppered down at the other end, just making save after save, and I was going through periods of time without seeing pucks," he said. "It was key for me to keep focusing on the puck no matter where it was on the ice surface, not losing sight of it. So when they had the opportunity, my mind was in the right place."

Thanks to San Jose’s power outage, he has had plenty of time to get himself right – and put the Sharks away.

HOT LINES

Thursday's Best MLB Bets

Tampa Bay Rays at Cleveland Indians (-110, 7.5)

The Cleveland Indians have been forced to overcome a lot early this season and have handled all their adversity admirably. They lead the MLB money standings, shocking many baseball bettors but Indians supporters are crossing their fingers with Grady Sizemore scheduled for an MRI Wednesday evening.

The good news is that the test is for his left knee – not his surgically-repaired right knee.

"Our medical staff doesn't think it's anything serious," Cleveland manger Manny Acta told reporters. "But for peace of mind, we're just taking some precautions with him. It was scheduled from yesterday just to give him some peace of mind because of what he has gone through with the other knee.”

Cleveland will miss his bat if he’s hobbled for any length of time. Since returning to action on April 17, Sizemore has six homers and 11 RBIs in 18 games to go along with a .282 batting average.

However, the Indians may be in tough against James Shields with or without Sizemore. Shields boasts a 0.74 ERA over his last three trips to the hill.

PICK: Rays

St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs (+135, N/A)

The first series between the Cardinals and Cubs of 2011 has been a weird one.

To begin with, this is the first time former-Cub Ryan Theriot is back at Wrigley wearing enemy colors, but that was just the beginning of it.

Then there was the sight of Cubs GM hugging Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols not once, but twice while the two teams were hanging around the batting cage on Tuesday. Cubs and Cardinals just don’t get down like that and the scene sent conspiracy theorists in action, wondering if Chicago would make a play for the pending free agent.

Later the same day, news came down that St. Louis manager Tony LaRussa would leave the team and may be away for a while after being diagnosed with shingles. Then on Wednesday, the Cubs lost starting catcher Geovany Soto to the 15-day DL with a groin injury.

The madness wraps up with a Thursday matinee and after a tough start, we like how Cubs youngster Casey Coleman is throwing the ball lately. Chicago’s worth a look at this price.

Bulls at Hawks: What Bettors Need To Know

Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks (+3.5, 179)
Chicago Leads Series 3-2

THE STORY: In a series that keeps shifting momentum, this time the Chicago Bulls are on the attack. After running away with Game 5 in the fourth quarter, the Bulls have a chance to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday. The Atlanta Hawks have not made things easy for Chicago in the Eastern Conference semifinals and they don’t have to look far to find success. Atlanta was able to defeat the Bulls on their home court just a few days ago.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, ESPN

ABOUT THE HAWKS: Atlanta let the Bulls jump out to a big lead in Game 5, falling behind by as much as 15 points in the first quarter. But after slowly chipping away, the Hawks pulled ahead briefly at the end of the third quarter and scored the first basket of the fourth to grab a one-point edge. But just as things were looking up, Atlanta went cold on offense and defense. The Hawks managed only 15 points in the fourth quarter and could not find a way to stop Derrick Rose from getting into the lane. Jeff Teague put up another strong performance, scoring 21 points to lead the way while Josh Smith chipped in 16 and Joe Johnson finished with 15.

ABOUT THE BULLS: Chicago is one win away from its first conference finals appearance since Michael Jordan roamed the United Center in 1998. That large shadow has not clouded Rose, who did his best Jordan impression again on Tuesday when he scored 11 of his game-high 33 points in the fourth quarter and finished with nine assists in the 95-83 triumph. Rose bookended a decisive 9-0 run in the fourth quarter with driving layups and had no trouble getting into the paint all night. Rose needed 32 shots to get 34 points as the Bulls lost Game 4 but he was much more efficient on Tuesday, shooting 11-of-24. Chicago outscored the Hawks 26-15 in the final quarter to run away with it. Taj Gibson scored all 11 of his points in the fourth and Luol Deng added 23 in the contest.

WHO’S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Jamal Crawford was held to two points on 1-of-9 shooting on Tuesday and is averaging eight points over the last four contests for Atlanta. After going 1-of-8 from the field in Game 4, Kyle Korver was limited to only four minutes in Game 5 and did not attempt a shot for the Bulls.

KEY STATISTIC: Free-throw attempts. Chicago went 21-of-28 from the line in Game 5 while the Hawks made it to the line only 17 times, converting 14. Rose alone attempted 13 free throws.

TRENDS:

* Over is 9-2 in the last 11 meetings in Atlanta.
* Bulls are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.
* Favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.
* Over is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings.
* Bulls are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Atlanta.

LAST WORD: “This series is not over with,” Smith said. “We have to go and play with a ton of energy on Thursday. We have to do a better job of keeping Derrick Rose out of our paint. If we do that we should be coming back here to play a Game 7.”

Red Wings at Sharks: What Bettors Need to Know

Detroit Red Wings at San Jose Sharks (-135, 5.5)
Series Tied 3-3

THE STORY: There is no lack of impressive accomplishments in the storied history of the Detroit Red Wings. They are now are just one step away from completing their most remarkable feat and taking a place beside the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs, 1975 New York Islanders and 2010 Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL history book. The third-seeded Red Wings will attempt to become just the fourth team to overcome a 3-0 deficit when they face off against the second-seeded San Jose Sharks in Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Thursday. After beginning the matchup with three straight one-goal losses, Detroit has posted three consecutive dramatic victories to avoid elimination. San Jose is trying to keep from joining the 1942 Red Wings, 1975 Pittsburgh Penguins and 2010 Boston Bruins as the only teams to lose a series after owning a 3-0 lead.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, Versus, TSN, RDS, FSN Detroit, CSN California

ABOUT THE SHARKS: The conference semifinals have not been very kind to San Jose over the years. It squandered 3-2 series leads to Toronto in 1994 and the Colorado Avalanche in 2002, then lost four straight games to the Edmonton Oilers in 2006 after winning the first two. The Sharks will need a much better effort Thursday than the one they put forth in Game 6 if they hope to avoid the ultimate collapse. San Jose as outshot 18-6 in the first period and 32-13 over the first 40 minutes but remained in a scoreless tie, thanks only to the tremendous performance by Antti Niemi. Calder Trophy finalist Logan Couture even gave the Sharks the lead at 3:54 of the third period, giving him six points in the series. But for the second straight game, San Jose was unable to seal the deal, putting its plans for a second consecutive conference final appearance on hold. Tuesday's loss dropped the Sharks to 4-14 all-time in Game 6s, but the club is 4-2 in seventh games.

ABOUT THE RED WINGS: Fighting for their playoff lives, the Red Wings built a 3-0 lead in Game 4 and squandered it before Darren Helm scored with 1:27 remaining in the third period to keep them alive. Detroit then overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period of Game 5 to post a 4-3 victory and fell behind Tuesday before scoring twice in a span of 1:54 midway through the third en route to a 3-1 triumph. Valtteri Filppula, who entered without a point in the series, helped set up Henrik Zetterberg's tying goal and scored the game-winner with 7:28 remaining. Tuesday's comeback gave coach Mike Babcock his 70th career playoff win, tying him with Joel Quenneville for ninth place on the all-time list. Filling in for the injured Johan Franzen, Mike Modano played in just his second game this postseason. The veteran took three shots and won six of nine faceoffs in a team-low nine minutes of ice time. The Red Wings are 13-8 overall in Game 7s and 3-1 in seventh games in the second round since 1967.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk set up Filppula's goal, extending his point streak to seven games. Datsyuk has notched a point in each game of this series and nine of 10 contests this postseason. Zetterberg has two goals and five assists in the last five matches. Couture enters Game 7 with a three-game goal-scoring streak, but San Jose teammate Patrick Marleau has yet to record a point in the series. Captain Joe Thornton has just one assist in the last three games after registering four in the first three.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Neither team was able to break through on the power play in Game 6 as San Jose went 0-for-4 and Detroit 0-for-6. The Red Wings have converted 20.5 percent of their opportunities in the postseason while the Sharks have a 12.5 percent success rate. Detroit has successfully killed 76.7 percent of its penalties and San Jose has an 81.2 percent efficiency.

TRENDS:

* Home team is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
* Red Wings are 5-11 in the last 16 meetings.
* Red Wings are 2-6 in the last eight meetings in San Jose.

LAST WORD: "Just ask Detroit. They lost three in a row and their confidence wasn't frayed. We're a confident group, still. You work 82 games to get home ice in these Game 7s. Now we just have to make it work." - Thornton on remaining positive despite wasting a 3-0 series lead.

MLB NEWS AND NOTES
Thursday's Afternoon Tips
By Judd Hall

Thursdays are the domain of series finales and businessman specials. This Thursday is no different with nine games on the schedule, four of which will be taking place in the afternoon. It all opens up near the shores of Lake Erie with the Rays and Tribe closing up a three-game set. And we’ll finish our focus near McCovey Cove with the Giants and Diamondbacks.

Tampa Bay Rays at Cleveland Indians (-110, 7.5)

There were a lot of questions about how the Indians would handle their first series of the year against a quality club. I’d have to say they’ve handled themselves well after a walk-off win in the series opener on Tuesday evening. That was the first road loss the Rays had in eight games.

Tampa Bay will be looking to close out this series on a high note with James Shields (3-1, 2.01) on the mound. Shields has turned into an automatic win this year with the Rays winning his last six starts. He’s also been a great help to the bullpen by lasting at least seven innings in five of those outings. This game is a bit of monkey for Shields to get off of his back since he is 0-4 with a 4.06 earned run average in six career starts against the Tribe.

The Indians will counter with Justin Masterson (5-0, 2.11) on the mound. Cleveland got the better end of the Victor Martinez deal with the Red Sox with its No. 2 starter. Masterson may have lost his last start, but he’s given up no more than two runs in six of his starts. And he’s giving the Tribe at least six innings in each appearance. Masterson also has some demons to exorcise in this game since he is 1-4 with a 6.00 ERA in nine outings against the Rays.

Cleveland has enjoyed facing teams from the American League East recently, going 8-0 in its last eight home battles against foes from that division.

St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs (+135, N/A)

We’ve got hated rivals going in opposite directions, but that shouldn’t surprise anyone. St. Louis is trying to hold off the Reds, while the Cubbies are just dreaming of playing .500 baseball right now.

St. Louis will hand the starting duties over to Jaime Garcia (4-0, 1.99) for this contest. Garcia came back from two so-so outings with a two-hit complete game in a 6-0 win over Brewers last Friday. That game was at Busch Stadium, which is not going to help all the way in this spot. The Cardinals have lost three of Garcia’s four road starts this season. And St. Louis has lost both of his starts against Chicago in his young career.

The Cubs are turning to Casey Coleman (1-2, 6.29) on Thursday afternoon. Coleman is doing just enough to keep himself in the rotation right now. He gave up two runs on four hits in six innings of work to help Chicago get a 3-2 win at home against the Reds. Coleman does have one thing going for him in that he is 1-0 with an ERA of 2.00 in two appearances against the Cards. The ‘under’ is 4-2 in his last six games against teams out of NL Central.

New York Mets at Colorado Rockies (-185, 8)

This game was supposed to be played on Wednesday afternoon, but rain and snow forced the cancellation. That means New York will be losing the travel day that they were expecting. Same thing can be said of the Rockies, who will be getting San Diego in town the very next night.

Jonathan Niese (1-4, 4.71) was slated to pitch on Wednesday, and there isn’t any reason to think he will not get the ball on Thursday afternoon. The Mets have reason to be optimistic with him on the mound, having won two of his last three starts. Niese will be looking to exact some revenge in this spot, having dropped a 5-4 decision to the Rox on April 13. He gave up five runs in six innings in that game.

Colorado isn’t turning away from having Ubaldo Jimenez (0-2, 5.88) take the mound for this tilt. Jimenez is in desperate need of a good start here for the Rockies. He is coming off of a good six-inning, two-hit performance at San Francisco, but still the Rox lost 4-3 on May 6. Jimenez is 2-2 with a 2.50 ERA in five career starts against the Mets. Bettors are a little gun shy with him right now since he’s lost four straight games as a home favorite, last winning in a 2-1 decision over the D-Backs on Sept. 11 last season.

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants (-137, 7)

You have to wonder if the Diamondbacks would be a contender if they had decent pitching. As of Wednesday afternoon, Arizona is 26th in the big leagues with a 4.35 team ERA. Of course, the D-Backs are also middle-of-the-pack with a team batting average of .243.

Arizona puts its faith in Daniel Hudson (3-4, 4.47) for the final match in its three-game series. Not a bad guy to have on the mound right now as Hudson has won his last three starts. He’s coming off of his best start of the year, giving up no runs on five hits in seven innings of a 6-0 win at San Diego on May 7. Don’t get too caught up in that since Arizona is 1-3 in Hudson’s last four starts as a road pup.

The Giants hope that Matt Cain (2-2, 3.37) can keep up his strong pitching. Cain has looked sharp in his last three starts, allowing no more than three runs and lasting at least six innings in each appearance. He is 7-4 with a 3.19 ERA in 18 career starts against Arizona. Cain’s last start against the Diamondbacks was a successful one, giving up just one run on four hits back on April 15 for a 5-2 victory. The plus side to backing Cain as a home favorite is that he’s won four straight in this role. Playing the run line in his last two starts would have seen you go 0-2.

Thursday’s Betting Tips: Bulls Road Warriors ATS

Who's Hot

NBA: Chicago has covered in 11 of its last 16 road games.

NHL: Detroit has won three straight games against San Jose to force Thursday’s Game 7. However, the Red Wings are just 2-6 in their last eight trips to the Shark Tank.

MLB: San Francisco is 20-6 in its last 26 meetings with Arizona.

Who’s Not

NBA: Only five of the last 16 meetings between Atlanta and Chicago have played under.

NHL: Just four of the last 16 Detroit-San Jose games have played under.

MLB: Colorado has lost each of the last eight starts Ubaldo Jimenez has made.

Key Stat

22-11 – The Detroit Red Wings won’t have their home crowd behind them for Thursday’s Game 7 in San Jose, but they will have experience on their side. The Red Wings have 22 players on the roster compared with Game 7 experience, while San Jose has 11. The last time San Jose played a Game 7 was in 2008, while Detroit will play its fourth series-deciding game in the past three years.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Jason Heyward, Atlanta Braves: The Braves could be without Heyward’s power in the batting order for a while. Heyward, who has seven homers but is hitting only .220, wasn’t in the lineup Wednesday and is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his right shoulder. Eric Hinske will see more time filling in for Atlanta’s young slugger.

Game Of The Day

Detroit Red Wings at San Jose Sharks (-125, 5.5)

Notable Quotable

“When we got into the fourth quarter, we had some bad offensive possessions. We were not executing and that led to bad shots which in turn led to baskets for them on the other end. We just lost our composure. I don’t know if it was their pressure or that we did not have the juice. We talk about it every game ... before we send the guys out on the floor. We want to make sure we have a good shot selection, a shot that allows us to get back defensively.” – Atlanta Hawks coach Larry Drew after a 1-point lead turned into a 95-83 loss to the Chicago Bulls in Game 5 as an 8.5-point underdog. The Hawks are pegged as 3.5-point home underdogs for Game 6.

Tips And Notes

The Atlanta Hawks know they need to keep Chicago’s Derrick Rose out of the paint to contain the Bulls, but that isn’t exactly the easiest task. Rose leads the NBA in scoring and assists within five feet of the bucket in the playoffs. "The series is not over with," Atlanta’s Josh Smith told reporters after Game 5’s loss. "We have to go and play with a ton of energy on Thursday. We have to do a better job of keeping Derrick Rose out of our paint. If we do that we should be coming back here to play a Game 7."

Team Canada will start Jonathan Bernier over James Reimer in Thursday’s IIHF World Championships quarterfinals against Russia. The move comes as a bit of a surprise considering Bernier didn’t join the team until after the Los Angeles Kings were eliminated from the NHL playoffs. Without the trapezoid behind the net in international play, Bernier’s puckhandling skills were one factor in coach Ken Hitchcock’s decision. Canada is currently set as a -165 favorite.

Tiger Woods returns to action on Thursday at the US PGA Players Championship after missing a couple of weeks with a knee injury and oddsmakers have him set as tournament favorite at +1300. Meanwhile, the PGA’S No. 1 ranking is also on the line at this weekend with current No. 1 Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy both skipping the tournament. That leaves the door open for No. 2 Martin Kaymer (+2800), No. 3 Luke Donald (+1600) or No. 3 Phil Mickelson (+1600).

The Detroit Red Wings could have sturdy forward Johan Franzen back in the lineup for Thursday’s Game 7 in San Jose. Franzen reinjured his ankle during the second period of Game 5 and hasn’t played since. He didn’t speak to reporters Wednesday, but teammate Niklas Kronwall said “I think so… definitely,” when asked if he thought “The Mule” would play Thursday. Franzen has two goals and one assist in the postseason. Meanwhile, San Jose has said nothing about Ryane Clowe’s status after its leading scorer missed Game 6 with an upper body injury.

Hondo

Hondo, who took two Tuesday night, scored again last night when the Jays bludgeoned the Bosawx to drop the deficit into three figures at 975 shannons. It could have been reduced further but a chance for a heroic comeback with the A's, who trailed 7-0, was washed out in Texas.

Today, Mr. Aitch will give Garcia an opportunity to earn some stall space in the stable -- 10 units on the Cards to chew up the Cubs in Wrigley.
