Thursday Mlb play-GC

On Thursday the MLB Bonus Play is on the Atlanta Braves. Game 960 at 7:10 eastern. The Braves will look to bounce back tonight off the 2-0 shutout loss to R.Halladay and the Phillies. They do so knowing they are 4-0 as a home favorite from -125 to -150 this season. The Braves also have the pitching edge here with D.Lowe tonight. Lowe has won his last 3 vs the Phillies and has allowed just 3 earned runs in nearly 20 innings of work. The Phillies counter with Old man Moyer here. Moyer has alllowed 10 earned runs in as many innings and has a 7.50 era. Atlanta should do well here. As an added bonus the Braves bullpen has a solid 0.73 era. Look for Atlanta to get the win here. Reason: It's not your imagination: The Red Sox aren't scoring runs this season, 9th in the AL. Normally they are a powerful offensive machine with a high on base percentage, but bringing in Mike Cameron (who's now on the DL) and Adrian Beltre means two guys who don't draw walks. No one is hitting, with JD Drew and David Ortiz in huge slumps. A pair of good young arms are on the mound in C.J. Wilson of Texas (2.08 ERA) and Clay Buchholz (1.80 ERA) of Boston. Both are excellent strikeout pitchers, a plus in Fenway park, and have had good success against the opponent. Play the Rangers/Red Sox Under the total.
