The pace of the game is just the way you want it for the under. The key will be that the shooting efficiency doesn't go up a ton. If it doesn't, the pace will be more than enough to keep this one under. Pace of the game is what you can handicap fairly well for totals but obviously how hot a team gets shooting the ball is hard to judge.
I wouldn't say that for sure just yet but no doubt this 2nd quarter has hurt a little bit. Utah's stronger defensive effort lasted a full quarter. lol. 20 points allowed in 1st qtr. 29 already allowed in the 2nd qtr with 3 minutes left.
there is a whole 2nd half yet too. We get another quarter like the 1st and we're right back in the game again. If the half ends at 104 total points or less I'll be happy and still be optimistic.
Interesting that you can say it is definitely going over with 2 minutes and change left in the first half of a game on pace for 198 with a total of 208.
I've been involved in many games that looked like sure wins and ended up losing and games that looked like sure losses that ended up winning so I've learned after all those experiences to stay patient and play it out and don't write anything off ever until the game is over.
Let's not forget the pace of this game so far has been fine for this game to stay under. Only an insane shooting barrage for about 3 minutes midway through the 2nd quarter where shots were being drained left and right is the only reason right now that over bettors are even close right now.
i think its better that denver is up 10 because now they will slow it down a little bit to maintain lead, and jazz plays at a slower pace then if denver was trying to make a comeback, or if it was a shootout
