You may think I'm a bit bold, advocating this big moneyline, but that is just a testament to how good Boston is playing. I don't mind paying 2-1 on a team that has allowed just 3 goals in 5 games and gets to play in their home arena. I called for the blowout the other night on Boston and they delivered a 3-0 shutout. Let's look for them to have similar success tonight.
15 Dimes Wichita St. -1.5 over Alabama
Wichita St. has been on a quest since losing in the MVC tourney. They started that quest by humiliating Nebraska, then took down Va.Tech in OT, then beat a Charleston team (which frankly I thought was a mismatch in Charleston's favor) and most recently, beat Washington St. by 31! This Shockers team is dialed in and on a mission. The key for the Shockers tonight is going to be containment... Containment of 6'8" Alabama FW JaMychal Green. Truthfully, I don't see that as a problem... Watching more MVC basketball than the non-Midwesterner ever really should, I have seen a Wichita St. team that while not terribly impressive statistically, gives opposing stars problems. What you have, is a team lead by 5 seniors who seem determined to win at all costs. Not making the NCAAs looks like it lit a spark and judging by their recent play, that spark turned into a full blown house fire. Look for Wichita St. to win the battle on the glass and protect the ball on offense. I like them by 10.
