Wunderdog 12/3 nhl pick

Game: Vancouver at Philadelphia (7:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: Philadelphia -130 (moneyline)

The Flyers will be glad to get back home. They have been on the road for six out of seven, and have lost five of their last six. The Canucks have not been doing well on the road, where they have taken the money in just five of their last 13 games. The Canucks have done even worse playing without rest as they are now 3-8 in their last 11. The Flyers have been destroying teams that have a road winning percentage of .400 or less for years as they are 115-52-23 in their last 190 games. That says all you need to know to find the value is in this one, I'll grab the Flyers here.

10 Dime Bills

Oregon State at Oregon
OREGON STATE - In a winner-takes-all matchup in the Civil War, Oregon State will cover on the road at Oregon and flirt with the outright victory as about a 9 1/2 point underdog.

Coming into this game the Beavers have gone 6-1 SU and ATS their last 7 games. In that stretch the team has ripped off 4 consecutive wins SU and 3 straight covers.

Consider, too, Oregon State has covered in 4 straight road games and is 4-1 ATS on the road this season. For the year, the Beavers are outscoring their opponents on the road, beating them by an average of less than 12 points per game (32-20.8).

On the other side, Oregon has failed to cover in 2 of its last 3 games and has failed to cover in 5 of the last 9 meetings between these two.

The last time Oregon hosted Oregon State, the Beavers walked away with a 38-31 outright victory as a 1-point underdog.

The Beavers will cash in again on the road and flirt with the outright victory.

Jets at Bills
BILLS - With former head coach Dick Jauron gone, Buffalo comes into this game in Toronto having played solid back-to-back games, including Sunday’s 31-14 beat down of the Dolphins.

The Bills have covered in each of their last 2 games and have gone 4-2 ATS their last 6 games overall.

The Jets, on the other hand, have gone 2-6 ATS their last 8 games and are only 1-3 ATS their last 4 games overall.

On the road New York has failed to cover in 3 of its last 4 games. Now they face a Bills team that beat them SU and ATS when they first met on Oct. 18. In their last 6 meetings Buffalo has gone 5-1 ATS against the Jets. They’ll cash in again tonight.

DENVER NUGGETS -9

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this matchup is on the home side:

Miami won 96-88 on Nov. 6 to end an eight-game skid in the series despite Carmello Anthony outscoring Dwayne Wade 30-22. It was Denver’s first loss after a 5-0 start.

Wade helped the Heat get back on track Tuesday in the opener of a four-game road trip. Following back-to-back home losses, Miami beat Portland 107-100 as Wade had 22 points and a season-high 12 assists; however I expect a "letdown" this evening.

Miami is a poor 2-8 ATS its last ten overall.

On the other side of the court: Denver looks to remain undefeated at home against the Heat since they drafted Anthony and avenge last month’s loss.

Seven Nuggets scored in double figures Tuesday as Denver posted its highest-scoring game of the season. Unlike in Sunday’s loss in which the Nuggets blew a 17-point lead, they were able to build on a 69-55 advantage at the half, taking a 23-point advantage into the fourth quarter.

Keep in mind that Denver is 4-2 ATS its last six overall, 14-5 ATS its last 19 at home and 6-2 ATS its last eight vs. Miami.

Bottom line: Because of all the above reasons, but mainly because of the "revenge" factor, look for DENVER to improve to 10-7 ATS when playing the roll of favorite and for Miami to fall to 3-5 ATS its last eight when playing against a team with a winning record.

Doc's 10* NFL Underdog of the Year (7-0 run)

10 Unit Play. #45 Take Tennessee over Indianapolis (Sunday 1 pm CBS) NFL Dog of the Year. The Titans just win football games when QB Young is behind center. They will enter having won five straight games and have allowed 17 points or less in four of those five games. Now they face the 11-0 Colts, who have been the comeback kids of late. I believe that their luck will run out today, since the Titans are very familiar with them and have a strong defense that can contain QB Manning. The Colts are really banged up on defense with injuries to Sanders (out), Freeney (questionable), Francisco (doubtful), and Dawson (doubtful) all injured. The Titans still need to win if they have any chance of making the playoffs and that is just not the case with Indy. They have already clinched the AFC South and have all but locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Indy has comeback to win five straight games, so that tells you that they have not been blowing out opponents. RB Johnson is unstoppable once he gets to the corner and this will allow the Titans to control the football and take this one down to the wire. Tennessee and QB Young win again and we collect in the process as well. Tennessee 28, Indy 27.

KaponoFor-3 (Pac 10 expert)

Supposedly YTD: 30-16-1, +21.45 units

Pac-10 YTD: 7-4

UCLA YTD: 2-2

Gonna lock in just one play:

1. USC/Texas over 133 (-116), 1.16 to win 1.

Best of luck to everyone today! I think Texas could get to 80 on this, which means we only need 55 from USC to hit the number. Any close game down the stretch will be helped by free throws (though I'd be shocked if it was close)
