And after I figured this out, I stayed off of Boston College. They were the one team that still covered (figures). But still, it's like Poison Nuts is doing the same thing, he's just getting his info through a different public outlet. People are always wanting to fade the tout favorite, but why don't more people fade the dumbass public who keep getting the fat guys and Vegas richer and richer?......

Soonerdawg, do you know that if you were to fade all the teams that the public was over 75% on today, you would've gone 6-1-1 (counting Uconn as loss). Why don't people do that more (fade the giant favorites from public)?

people do do it... hell, i do it every day. its not always a reason to take a game, but its a nice way of staying away from traps... obviously there are exceptions, but joe pub is more wrong than right...

I also use Wagerline.com and usually play dogs where the consensus is 65% or greater on the favorite...

My philosophy is this... If the dumbass public knew what they were doing....there would be NO VEGAS.

Why do people fade the tout favorite? I been playing some of the top handicappers big plays for the last 2 weeks and am 14-5 in NCAA.

depends on where you get your numbers at. i faded bg today at 78% and ended up eating the big fat nanner. the most successful fades are the heaviest bet games. From march 9 through the past 3 years a designated home favorite with a reverse line movement of 1/2 to 1 point is 2-9 ATS when backed by 80%+, whereas a designated home favorite backed by the same % with a 1/2 to 1 point in it favor is 5-5....desginated home faves at this point in season are mostly the higher seeded tourney teams....but, again, i've been losing my ass the last few days so proceed with caution....

Does anybody know the halftime Phoenix/Cleveland score? Covers has it 63-62 and Yahoo has it 63-60.
