3* Sunday Night Baseball SMASH Yankees +105

It is clear that the Yankees have Boston's number. They have won 4 straight at Fenway and 13 of the last 16 meetings overall. Defense and pitcher was supposed to be the strength of the Red Sox this season and both have failed them in the early going. New York is 21-8 because of good pitching and the bottom of the order, which has carried the team early on. The bad news for Boston is that Mark Teixeira and the top of the order got going yesterday. In addition, Burnett has been nothing short of brilliant with his 4-0 mark and 1.99 ERA. I must also note that the Red Sox are 0-5 in their last 5 games after losing the first 2 games of a series. Take the Yanks.

A frustrating 0-2 day yesterday. I may be done with Saturday wagers on baseball as we are now 0-8 the past three Saturdays combined.

Baltimore/Minnesota over 8.5 -120

Kansas City/Texas over 9.5 +100

Indian Cowboy MLB for tracking purposes

2-Unit Play. Take #901 Chicago Cubs (-110) over Cincinnati Reds (Sunday @ 1:10pm est).
The Cubs were drilled yesterday and I suspect they bounce-back today on the road at Cincy. This team lost 2-14 and without a doubt that is a contest they would likely want to forget. They send Dempster on the mound today and he looks for yet another quality start. The Reds have not faced Ryan this year where as the Cubs have faced Leake. Mike recently pitched against the Cubs and defeated them 3-1 as he gave up one earned run in nearly seven innings. Dempster has gone deep into ballgames in his last two efforts going 15 innings and yielding just six runs in the process. Unfortunately despite pitching stellar, Ryan has picked up back to back losses as the offense could just not get going. But, in this tight showdown today, I'll go with Ryan simply because the Reds have not faced him this year while the Cubs got a good look at Leake earlier this year. Plus, the Cubs got drilled yesterday and I like them to bounce-back today as they look to get that sour taste from yesterday out of their mouth

Dr Bob? He has two strong opinions and is 6-1 on those in the playoffs? Happy Mother's Day!
