The Yankees can break out the brooms with a win in Sunday Night baseball against their cross town rival Mets in Citi Field. The Yankee offense has put up 33 runs in their last four games and it should continue tonight against Livan Hernandez. He is 5-2 with a 3.95 ERA this season, but in his last three starts he is 0-1 with a 4.66 ERA with his team losing all three games. Livan has yet to beat the Yankees going 0-3 lifetime against them with a 6.94 ERA. He's already faced them once giving up six runs and seven hits in 5.3 innings pitched in Yankee Stadium. The Bronx Bombers hit .403 against the righty with A-Rod (11-19), Derek Jeter (8-19), Nick Swisher (5-14), Jorge Posada (4-12), Robinson Cano (4-9), Hideki Matsui (3-7), Mark Teixeira (3-6) and Melky Cabrera (2-5) all having success.
Chien Ming Wang is looking for his first win of the season as he brings his 0-6 record and 11.20 ERA to the mound on Sunday. He's coming off a solid outing against the Braves going five innings and giving up just six hits and three runs while striking out four. Wang has seen the Mets twice in his career splitting the two games. His WHIP in those two was 0.979 meaning he's not putting many runners on base. The Mets are hitting just .224 against Wang with David Wright (2-8), Jeremy Reed (1-6), Luis Castillo (1-5), Brian Schneider (0-4) and Gary Sheffield (0-2) struggling the most
