What a difference a year makes. It seems like week 15 last year saw Atlanta knock Carolina from a historic undefeated season with the Panthers and finishing at 15-1. The is game makes it one of the strongest reason for revenge in recent years. The NFL usually doesn't fall for the revenge angle but both sides are very aware. How ironic that the roles are completely reversed. Additionally, It will be the home finale in what has been a challenging season for the Panthers. It will all start with defense. The Panthers own a NFL-leading 40 sacks stat and look to get to QB Matt Ryan. Last season, Newton was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player. Now, Ryan's name ends up in those MVP conversations. Carolina is playing well having just crushed Washington last week. The Panthers, who are aiming for a three-game winning streak for the first time this season, continue to count on Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen as one of the centerpieces of their offense. Back to the Panthers defense as it was outstanding in the win over the Redskins, allowing no passing touchdowns and complete shut down the Redskins running game. The Panthers defense needs to be the cornerstone of today's game. I think that Cam Newton can do enough offensively and score enough for the outright win, knocking the Falcons playoff hopes back another week.

Inner Circle--Jacksonville +
The players had an emotional week in Jacksonville as their coach was let go after their loss to the Texans last week. More irony for Tennessee as the Titans could look ahead to a season-ending showdown against the Houston Texans and lose outright to the Jags. That would be sweet redemption for Jacksonville and their former coach. So many games are won between the ears and not between the 20's. Tennessee is coming off a shocking come from behind win over the Chiefs last week and with this game sandwiched in between they find themselves ripe for the home team upset. The "key" to the game is the game plan execution of the Titans. They are not built to blow teams off the field. They play to control the clock and pick its spots in the passing game with Mariota. For the Jags and their fans, one would like to think that they wouldn’t want to go into the offseason on the back of eleven home losses so expect an all out divisional war to go down to the wire. Paul Posluszny has been the Jaguars leader at linebacker with 87 tackles for the year and has one job: stop DeMarco Murray and keep the score competitive.

Pinnacle--Chicago + ***Playoff Scenario Upset of Year
The Redskins couldn't get it done Monday night at home and now have to travel and play on a very short week. When it comes to the NFC playoff picture, the Washington Redskins are on the outside looking in with two weeks to play. They will be hard pressed to get out of Chicago with a win. The Skins have lost three of its past four games and their hopes look bleak. Some teams thrive on knocking other teams out of a race. A last-minute loss to the Packers last week indicated that the Bears are not ready to roll over to playoff contenders. Pro Bowl wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will look to build more chemistry with Matt Barkley in his second week back from a four-game suspension. On a short week, the Redskins may be watching the scores of other teams more than playing hard while the Bears are freewheeling the entire game. If there was ever a game to play scared for the visitor, this is it. Rookie running back Jordan Howard could challenge the Redskins' defense, which is ranked No. 29 in the league with an average of 375.4 yards allowed per game. The Bears will counter on defense with an above-average pass rush that features three players with at least seven sacks and the return of inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman who is the team's top tackler.
