No. 12 South Carolina at No. 17 Auburn (-3) – Saturday at 7:45 p.m. ET on ESPN

South Carolina has been outstanding this season, winning its first three games and going perfect against the spread (2-0 ATS). To a large extent, though, the Gamecocks remain unscathed in spite of their quarterback, Stephen Garcia. The junior excelled in the season opener against Southern Mississippi but has been rather average since then; that won’t cut it against a top squad like Auburn. The defense looked a little shaky against Furman, allowing some big plays through the air, but it did record seven sacks.

Auburn (3-0, 1-2 ATS) has won its last two games by a combined six points. Worse yet, the Tigers failed to score a single point in the fourth quarters of either of those match ups. Running quarterback Cameron Newton is expected to get more opportunities to throw the ball this week (he has just 28 pass attempts in the last two games). On the other side of the football, the Tigers have been surprisingly competent.

Despite being undefeated, neither team inspires a ton of confidence. This will likely come down to who makes the fewest mistakes. Considering how Garcia has played so far, it won’t be South Carolina. Bet on Auburn

10 Unit College Game of Week
USF -27 over W.Kentucky
This is quite simply an awful hilltopper defense, allowing 5.5 ypc and allowing opposing QB's to complete 75% of passes with no Ints!! This USF team will be fresh after bye week and looking to get back on track after loss to Florida that was far closer then imprint left by 14-38 score.USF will have dominant succes with running game here and also finally get on track with passing game.Route!

10 Unit Underdog Game of Week
Arkansas +7 over Alabama

Another dominant Alabama team for sure this season, but our impression of Arkansas is they are better defensively and we think that keeps them in game on Saturday, Razorbacks lost 7-35 to Bama last year and actually contained running game very well, but simply gave up big passing plays! A year later, Razorbacks are a better team and should be better prepared Saturday with a huge home crowd advantage! This one is decided late and we call an Upset!

8 Units Temple +14 over Penn.St

Certainly one of biggest games for Temple in recent history and Owls have a very solid defense.Owls on 11-5 ats run over last 16 and if they dont self destruct here have a very good chance at hanging here and possibly upsetting PSU.

6 Units Ball.St/Iowa Under 46

Hawkeyes back into a situation where their defense can dominate and we think it will here as BSU has had additonal losses on O line this week on an offense that is already struggling.Hawkeyes should keep BSU under 10 points here and control clock with running game.Iowa 16-5 Under last 21 September games. Take Under

4 Units BYU/Nevada Over 64

4 Units Memphis +11.5 over Utep

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYS

2 Unit Play. #327 Take Georgia +1 over Mississippi St (7:00p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 FSN)
I wish I could just say take the Bulldogs tonight, but that's a cop out. Georgia has dropped two straight SEC games but Saturday night the Bulldogs of Georgia get back to winning. Georgia owns this series winning 16 out of their last 21 meetings and has won the last 9 meetings. Getting plus one point on the road but won't need this point because Georgia wins outright.
4 Unit Play. #333 Take Air Force -13 ½ over Wyoming (2:00p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 MTN)
I'm not going to lie! Air Force has shocked me so far this season. The Force beat me against BYU and I thought Oklahoma would be able to roll over the Force but Oklahoma only beat them by 3-points. Wyoming will have NO answer for the Air Force ground attack and if Air Force goes up early I don't see the Cowboys climbing out of a big hole. Air Force is 14-3 ATS against a team with a losing record and Wyoming is 7-23 ATS following a SU loss.
3 Unit Play. #336 Take Kansas St -7 over UCF (12:30p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 FSN)
I have used the Wildcats twice this year (against UCLA & Iowa St) and have cashed both of them, so Saturday afternoon let's go for the trifecta. Look for the Wildcats to pound the ball with Daniel Thomas and UCF will have trouble stopping the Wildcats runs game at home.
2 Unit Play. #341 Take Under 55 ½ Alabama at Arkansas (3:30p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 CBS)
Arkansas has played some great 'D' so far in their last 3 games and Bama is only giving up 6.3ppg. Look for a great SEC battle and a low scoring game as both teams do not want to give up the big plays. Alabama is 4-11-1 O/U against SEC teams and Arkansas has only given up 10 points at home this season.
4 Unit Play. #353 Take Nevada -3 ½ over BYU (6:00p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 MTN)
Nevada is coming off a big home win against a Pac-10 team California and BYU is coming home after two straight losses on the road. This is Nevada's first road game of the season and they couldn't be happier that they get to go against BYU and their struggling QB play. The offense has struggled for the Cougars only scoring 24 points in their last two games but their defense has also struggled. BYU is giving up 28.7ppg and if they can't stop the offense of Nevada then the Wolfpack could easily rack 40 plus against BYU on the road. BYU is 2-6 ATS against WAC schools and Nevada is 6-0 ATS following a SU win.
5 Unit Play. #374 Take San Diego St -8 ½ over Utah St (8:00p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 CBSC)
(Game of the Weekend) Utah St has no answer on how to stop the run and if they can't Saturday night then the Aztecs will have another easy home win. Utah St had no answer for Fresno St rushing attack and I feel that the Aztecs have a better ground attack than the Bulldogs. Look for a huge game from Ronnie Hillman as he will carry San Diego St to a double-digit home victory. San Diego St is 16-5 ATS at home against a team with a losing record. Found this stat from another source but it's interesting. Utah St is 0-8 against Non-Conference/Non-BCS road games. In those 8 games losing by 21ppg! The Aztecs win this game easily!
NFL FOOTBALL PLAYS
6 Unit Play. #410 Take New Orleans -4 over Atlanta (1:00p.m., Sunday, Sept.26)
(Game of the Month) Little confused about this number and it's dropping as this number was -4 ½ when the number opened. New Orleans is always a tough town to steal a road victory and the Saints have covered 4 out of their last 5 home games. The Falcons are coming off a nice a home win against the Cardinals but these Cards are not the same Cards we have seen in the last 2-3 years. The Saints come home after a close Monday night win on the road in San Fran and with this short price at home the Saints continue to march to another home win. The Saints are 6-1 ATS in the month of September and the Falcons are 2-5 ATS in Week #3.
3 Unit Play. #413 Take Over 42 Detroit at Minnesota (1:00p.m., Sunday, Sept. 26)
This week the offense of the Vikings explode! Minnesota has been struggling and it's been scoring points that has them 0-2. The Vikings have scored 19 points in two games but the bright side of this is that the Lions gave up 35 points last week to the Eagles. The Vikings are averaging 25.6ppg against the Lions in their last 5 meetings and Sunday afternoon the Vikings finally start scoring some TD's. Detroit is 4-1 O/U following a SU loss and the Vikings are 12-3-1 O/U after scoring 15 points or less in their last game.
3 Unit Play. #429 Take Under 46 ½ Green Bay at Chicago (8:35p.m., Monday, Sept. 27 ESPN)
Should be a great MNF game and if I'm Chicago you must slow down the passing attack of Green Bay if they want to win this game. The Packers defense has been solid and last week they held the Bills to only 7 points but again those were the Bills. Look for the Bears to try and establish a run game first and if they do then the clock should be our friend and this game flies under. The last 4 meetings between these two teams all 4 of them have gone under the total.

4-Unit Play. Take #363. Take UAB +14 over Tennessee Volunteers (Saturday, September 25th @ Noon est).
I know it sounds a bit nuts, but when you see 80% of the public on a side and the line is not budging, it makes for a reason to look at a game more closely. Tennessee is a decent team that will get better under the direction of Coach Dooley. But, keep in mind that UAB is gaining confidence with a nice win over Troy by a score of 34-33 and Troy is a very good team that took Oklahoma State to the wire on the road earlier this year. UAB does have some talent on both sides of the ball and frankly, I think Tennessee still hasn't meshed yet. Tennessee will find it tough to get up for this game likely considering they just come off playing the likes of Oregon and Florida, and now have to face UAB and I think they will still be a bit hungover from that contest. I look for UAB to get up for this game and to keep it close although lose straight up, still fall inside the number.
4-Unit Play. Take #397. Take Florida International +12 over Maryland (Saturday, September 25th @ 12pm est). Florida International goes on the road to face Maryland. I think Florida International is seriously undervalued. This is a good team that went on the road to lose by just a touchdown to Texas A&M as a 28.5 underdog. They lost to Rutgers at home 14-19 as a 14.5 dog. And, now, they are going on the road to play Maryland as a 12 point underdog with 70% of the public on the home team here in Maryland who is likely in a hangover from their tough loss against West Virginia. It will be tough for Maryland to likely get up for this game and I can see a decent Florida International team getting up for this game and staying inside the number.
4-Unit Play. Take #414. Take Minnesota Vikings -11 over the Detroit Lions (Sunday, September 26th @ 1:00pm est).
You think Minnesota won't be fired up about this game? Brett Favre has listened to the fact all week he and the Vikings are 0-2 after starting out against the defending champs and a very good Miami Dolphins team. The Dolphins game was certainly one in which the Vikes could have won and this team is looking to rebound quickly and in a big way to silence the critics. Bear in mind that the Vikings have a bye week next week and will be looking to step up here so they can head over the long break with a win underneath their belts. Detroit looked great against Philly but still managed to put the game away. Also, note that 63% of the public favor the Lions here to keep it close, but they face a very good Vikings defense, at home, and a team that is desperate for a win. I look for the Vikings to win big here.
4-Unit Play. Take #426. Take Arizona Cardinals -4.5 over Oakland Raiders (Sunday, September 26th @ 4:15pm est).
The Raiders are a decent team. I'm not knocking them here, but bear in mind that Arizona is a very well coached team that just got spanked by my Falcons at home by a score of 7-41. The Cardinals had won on the road at St. Louis prior to that. Without a doubt, this is a rebuilding year for the Cardinals, but I certainly do think that this team has the talent, in particular on the defense side of the ball to pull the cover here. This is a home opener for Arizona and I look for this team to come together after the tough loss at Atlanta. The Raiders come off a nice win against the Rams at home, but I can see them having a let down here on the road as their last road game against Tennessee didn't pan out when they lost 13-38. I look for Arizona to bounce-back big this weekend.
4-Unit Play. Take #428. Take the Miami Dolphins -2.5 over the New York Jets (Sunday, September 26th @ 8:20pm est).
If you remember, Miami actually swept the Jets last year. And, the Dolphins have only gotten better this year. With a group of players that are very well coached, and have a lot of heart, the Dolphins open the year at 2-0. They face a good Jets team with a lot of distractions off the field and some injuries to play as well. More importantly, the Dolphins are the better team in my opinion, with a better offense, a comparable defense and at the end of the day, frankly, I think with better coaching. I look for the Dolphins here to get fired up on Sunday Night Football and win this game in front of their faithful as do note, Miami is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games against the AFC East.
