Daily Reports
July 26th, 2014
The play might be an obvious one to make but sticking with the unit values in every report always separates us from the pack who have no strategy or money management methods to make a healthy profit off of betting on favorites. This is one favorite that should not be passed up.
MLB PLAY OF THE DAY
Oakland A's -1.5 (-117)
Risking 5.62 units to win 4.8 units
8:05pm start
Gray, Tepesch must start
This is the best offense and they’ll be backed by their best pitcher to bounceback in a dominant fashion over the Rangers. Sonny Gray is 11-3, 2.72ERA and 4-0 with a 0.95ERA in 4 recent starts. He’s also 8-1 when the A’s need him to pick up the W after the Oakland loses their previous game.
The A’s own the best ERA in the MLB at 3.11. The Rangers are ranked 29[SUP]th[/SUP] in team ERA and it’s because they have pitchers like Nick Tepesch starting for them. Tepesch’s start was pushed back and he continues to go without a win over the past month.
One of the best factors going for us is that this offensive powerhouse knows all about getting under Tepesch’s skin. They’ve faced him 4 times and brought in 12 runs off 13 innings giving him an 0-1, 8.31 ERA against them. Tepesch is also 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in his last 3 starts.
Oakland plays extremely well with Gray on the mound going 6-0 in his last 6 starts and 8-2 in their last 10 on the road when he starts. The Rangers are 14-39 as an underdog and they’ve lost 28 of 35. Take the A’s to win BIG..
