Doubles,Pick3's, Pick 4:
Race 6) 1/10
Race 7) 5/8/10/11
Race 8) 4/5/8
Race 9) 3/4/5
Race 10) 4/7/8/9

Race 6) 6 Furlongs (Inner Turf) Alw 42,000N1x

# 1 Power Blast (morning line 3-1)
C. Velasquez chose #6 (Nutmegcuveeroyale) over this
one, and he may have made a mistake. My top choice was injured after
his 2nd start, and was away from racing for over 1.5 years.
But..... he had a nice 2nd in first start back and should be tighter today.
You can't dismiss his time of 108/2 at this distance as a young 2 year old.

Safer Bet:
a) #1 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) None

Race 8) 1 Mile (Turf) G-3 Hill Prince

#4 Fastest Magician (morning line 6-1)
His last win was visually impressive against some nice ones.
He came out of that start firing nothing but bullets in morning workouts.

Safer Bet:
a) #4 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) Trifecta: 4 with 1/2/5/6/8 with 1/2/5/6/8

Race 9) 1 1/16 Miles G-1 Ogden Phipps

#4 Life At Ten (morning line 10-1)
Draws into an impressive field after a sub-par performance in last.
She's been training well and top connections still think she's capable.
She hasn't raced at odds higher than 7/2 in last 11 starts.
Definitely worth a look for the value.

Safer Bet:
a) #4 to Win, Place or Show

Exotics:
b) Exacta Box: 3/4/5
c) Trifecta Box: 3/4/5

Texas Rangers vs. Atlanta Braves
Play: Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves (39-31) send their Opening Day starter Derek Lowe (3-5, 4.02 ERA) to the mound against Texas and Matt Harrison (5-6, 3.31) and the inter-league experience of Lowe will be the difference. Atlanta is 7-1 at home in their last eight inter-league games and they get the nod once again here. Take ATLANTA!

WUNDERDOG (HORSES)

BELMONT PARK Race #3 at 2:00 PM Eastern

Top pick: #7 (BOMBER BOY) - $200K son of "Bernardini" finished a strong third when debuting at Gulfstream in early March, then followed that up with a poor effort at Aqueduct going a mile 40 days later. Freshened-up by trainer Nick Zito since that April 15th effort, colt is training fast at Saratoga for his return to action, draws a nice post at this trip, and meets a weak field. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #6 (Groovy Soul) - Colt raced evenly when debuting on the grass on May 25th and had trained nicely on the main-track before his initial outing. Barn (Barclay Tagg) is always better second time out and has a big half-mile work on June 5th. Looks set for his best.

3rd pick: #4 (Raison d'Etat) - Son of "A.P. Indy" showed some speed when debuting here last fall, then finished a non-threatening 3rd on May 5th in his first since that time. In the patient barn of Bill Mott and colt is working nicely for this attempt.

4th pick: #5 (Dallaglio) - He'a been away a bit "slow" from the gate in both starts and trainer Duggan will take this colt's blinkers off this afternoon. Could factor at a big price with a "clean" start.

HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #1 at 4:00 PM Eastern

Top pick: #3 (WOODMAN'S LUCK) - The probable favorite has an excellent record on this surface (6-1-3-1) and that includes a near miss in the $150K Snow Chief S. here on April 23rd. Working fast for this, he has a big class edge on this group and should a solid pace to rally into. The top selection.

2nd pick: #7 (Cahill Country) - Price play runs second off a claim by Hector Palma and in his first for the new barn gelding raced evenly at this condition going a mile on the turf. Barn cuts him back a bit in distance and moves him to the "poly" surface. Has a fine recent work and hs's (10-2-1-2) on synthetic surfaces.

3rd pick: #6 (Senator Bob) - Has excellent early speed and exits the same contes as "Woodmans" and after setting the pace he tired to run third, 6 lengths back of the top choice. Takes them as far as he can.

4th pick: #4 (Macho Dorado) - Golden Gate shipper was beaten less than a length there last out in an entry-level allowance run on the turf course. Good barn (Vann Belvoir) ships him south and back to a synthetic (where he's 3-for-6). Could impact at a nice price.

1*Florida Marlins @ Tampa Bay Rays - RAYS TO WIN (-138)

Ricky Nolasco is back on the mound for the Marlins after a poor outing, where he lasted just 3 innings giving up 8 hits and 5 earned runs. Nolasco is 4-2 on the season with a 4.23 ERA and 1.39 WHIP, but batters are hitting .292 against him. Despite the winning 4-2 record, the Marlins are just 6-8 when Nolasco makes a start. Alex Cobb will make his fifth start of the season for the Rays tonight. Cobb is 1-0 with a 3.57 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. Cobb has pitched pretty effectively in all four of his starts. The Rays took Game 1 of this series last night by a score of 5-1, handing the Marlins their 8th straight loss. After a good start to the season the Marlins are just 6-20 in their last 26 games overall. The Marlins are 7-19 in their last 26 games as an underdog, 0-6 in their last 6 road games, and 0-11 in their last 11 games vs a right-handed starter. The Marlins are also 0-4 in Nolasco's last 4 starts, and 0-6 in his last 6 starts with 4 days of rest. The Rays on the other hand are 5-2 in their last 7 games as a favorite, and 8-3 in their last 11 games as a small favorite of -110 to -150. Also note the Marlins are just 2-5 in their last 7 meetings in Tampa Bay. I expect the Rays to deliver again tonight as they look to keep pace with the Red Sox and Yankees in the AL East.
Take the Rays with some confidence tonight in interleague play.

Brewers at Red Sox
Pick: Under 9

Never fun to take an Under at Fenway, but it fits here as I like both of the starting pitchers a great deal. Wolf has allowed just one earned run in his last 13.1 innings of work, and while Lester does not have great overall numbers of late, he seemed to be putting it together a bit in his last start, and I look for him to pitch well here. The Under is the play.

Los Angeles -120 over NEW YORK 5 Dimes

A string of under values where we may see better than usual pitching. I also like LAA to lay it on the Mets today, behind strong pitching from Dan Haren. We had them at +120 last night.. Let's get them at -120 today and don't look back.
