Kent State -109 (1.5 Dime Bonus Play)
Kent State has been great winning 8 in a row and going 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games. This line is a little weird which is why it's not a premium play here today as Kent State rocked Buffalo in the first meeting by 35 points and it was never close! So why are they opening at just 1.5 point favorites and why are they now at pk?
My belief is that Kent State is shooting just 41.4% and they are giving up 43.7% on the road this year. They also are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 playing @ Buffalo and Buff may just be desperate to come up with a win here on their home court. Normally line movement and that kind of odds would have me on Buffs side, but not here!
Kent State's home/away numbers are skewed due to the fact that they played three difficult non-conference road games @ Pitt, @Xavier, and @ South Florida. The non-conference schedule was challenging compared to Buffalo's. In conference road games they are 4-1 on the road! Buffalo is just 3-2 in conference play at home and the two solid teams they played in Ball State and Western Michigan they lost to. Buffalo had early season hopes of a MAC title when they opened up 3-0 in conference play, but they quickly tanked with a 1-5 nose dive where they gave up 53% shooting beyond the arch to their opponents.
Kent State has been solid on the road in conference play and as favorites which they are in many places right now. They are 39-15 ATS in their last 54 as a favorite between .5-6.5 points. There is absolutely no look ahead game on the card for Kent State with Ohio at home up next. Look for Sr. Guard Chris Singletary to carry this team to another MAC win! It's a chance to really put the lower half of the division behind them!
