NORM'S LATE THOUGHTS: Marshall's simply rolled past opponents this year. But they looked a bit flat their last out against Florida Atlantic failing to cover the ever inflated spreads they're facing. Today they're on the road laying 25 1/2 points to So. Miss. At first glance this seemed like just another blowout to me. But USM's 3-6 record and poor points allowed stat is clouded by having been drilled 49-0 by Miss St. and 52-12 by Alabama. In the 7 games other than those two they've averaged nearly 24 PPG. I can see uSM hanging in there today and covering much the same way big dog Wake Forest did Thursday night against a team that seemed equally dominant in Clemson. So, hold your nose and:
