“1 UNIT” COLLEGE INJURY INTANGIBLE (Louisville -2’ at home versus Connecticut in a 3:30 eastern kickoff broadcast nationally on ESPNU): This game actually opened as a virtual pick-em, but things have changed with news that the visitor has LOST their starting quarterback for the remainder of the season. Connecticut’s Cody Endres initially missed the opening 3 games of this campaign, but invigorated the passing attack upon his return putting up statistics (60% completions, 5 TD passes) that catch the eye. Endres in game-four replaced erratic senior Zach Frazier who today remains in the reserve role as the Huskies are going with REDSHIRT FRESHMAN Michael Box as their starter in a hostile environment. Not only has Connecticut just lost their starting quarterback (university suspension) for the remainder of the season, one of the team’s offensive linemen has been ousted from the troubled program and is transferring to another school. There is plenty of motivation for Louisville as they are in “triple revenge” against Connecticut where 2 of those contests were decided by slim “single digit” margins. The location of this late afternoon contest is critical considering that HOME teams are UNDEFEATED this season where it counts (5-0 ATS) in games involving Connecticut. So far this year with a new head coach, Louisville is a positive 2-1 ATS when cast as a favorite, with the lone setback as a massive 30-point choice against a Division I-AA opponent. Since 1992 Louisville is a most productive 12-2 ATS when off consecutive games that went above the total

SMU (-8') for 2 Units

SMU is seeking revenge from last years beat-down at Houston. Today, they catch an injury plagued Houston team down to its 3rd team QB and a struggling defense which allows 280 ypg on the ground not a good combination on the road. SMU, which is coming off a loss, sports a 9-2 ATS mark as a favorite off a SU/ATS loss. The Cougars, on the other hand, are a mere 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road dog roles . We'll look for the sound running game of the Mustangs to fuel their offense and allow quality QB Padron to settle in and work Cougars' struggling secondary. SMU the call.

GEO.TECH at CLEMSON

3:30 Eastern

600% CLEMSON -4 over Geo.Tech

A revenge match-up in the ACC this week when Clemson hosts Geo.Tech.

GTech comes in here this week riding a 3 game winning streak

and 5-2 overall on the season. Meanwhile Clemson has struggled to

a 3-3 mark. After losing 3 in a row and 0-2 in the ACC, they managed

to bounce back last week at home with a 31-7 win over Maryland.

Clemson has protected the ball very well this season with the

exception of their loss to the Hurricanes where they had 6 turnovers.

In their other 5 games, they have only 2 turnovers, and none in the past 3.

On the defensive side, they have caused 12 turnovers so far this season,

including 3 interceptions in last week's win over Maryland.

Tech has not been as careful with the ball,

as they have turned the ball over 12 times in 7 games,

with 2 turnovers in each of their past 4 contests.

These 2 played in last year's ACC Championship game,

and Clemson came out on the short end of a 39-34 shootout Tech victory.

Clemson has lost the past 4 meetings with Tech, so they look

to get major revenge today against their conference rival.

The Tigers need 3 more wins to be bowl eligible, and with their

remaining schedule against the likes of NC State, Fla St, and So.Carolina,

this may very well be a must win. They also have B.College and

W.Forest both on the road as their other 2 remaining games.

Today's game is a pivotol one, and the Tigers are familiar with the Tech

option attack, as they have played them 3 times in their past 19 games.

Look for Clemson to get revenge

and start their quest for a bowl bid.
