West Virginia +7 9 units GOW;
Auburn may have rolled through its first two opponents, but that was against Miss St who is plain awful and La Tech who played Auburn and Navy close for 3 quarters, to fall apart late. West Virginia on the other side had a coast week 1, then followed it up with an impressive win against East Carolina last week. Many are expecting Gene Chizik to be God like as Auburn fans think they are back getting off to a quick start and going to jump on a West Virginia team that has lost its spunk since Rich left. I completely disagree as the one match up that sticks out is the qb situation. You have two Auburn qbs in Todd and Burns, which Todd starts, but look at his stats 10 of 23 last game, which is awful in my opinion against a weak defense in Miss St compared to 24 for 31 with 4 tds and 1 int against a good East Carolina team. Auburns qb play is flat out dismal, where Brown has been patiently waiting his turn behind back up NFL qb Pat White. I feel Brown has a more precise pass than White and is more dangerous. Comparing running games, I would say they are a wash as Devine showed Auburn last year what he is about, but Auburn has a good two headed back system. West Virginia's defense is stout again and last year was 11th best in the nation in scoring defense and I expect better this year getting Reed Williams back who wreaked havoc against Oklahoma in the Fiesta bowl 2 years ago to go along with 6 starters from last year. Many people have wrote off West Virginia in the Big East and NCAA championship picture, but I haven't as I think this team goes BCS bowling once again as the shock the national audience as they go in Jordan Hare and take this game to the wire with an outright upset chance. Take West Virginia as my GOW where I am already 2-0 this season on these!!!
Good luck as always!!!
