Saturday's Action
900♦ North Carolina Tar Heels
In what just might be the biggest blowout of the day I look North Carolina to crush LSU here today as the Tar Heels advance thanks to a twenty something win. I mean sure it was expect for North Carolina to blast Redford in the first round, but I am not sure anyone expected a 43 point blasting as the Tar Heels sent an early message to the field. A message that will get even louder today as Lawson returns to lead what might just be the best team in the nations. Plus, at 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games when facing an SEC team it is clear that North Carolina has a huge advantage and will continue to against a league that just sent 3 total team this year with two of the other teams losing in the first round. Meanwhile, for LSU when they loss this season it has been ugly as when the Tiger lose they go down hard given their money burning 0-7 ATS losing by an average score of 74-61, including their 30 point setback to Utah. Bottom line, with or without Lawson the Tar Heels at 90 ppg are just to explosive for the Tigers here today and it is going to show in one of the day’s biggest blowouts.
All North Carolina!
100♦ Washington Huskies
I was not a believer in the Huskies on Thursday, but after watching Washington destroy Mississippi State in round I am a believer today. You see it all comes down to the fact that not only is Washington good, but thanks to playing what amounts to a home game I just don’t see the Huskies losing in the Rose Garden today. Not when they will enjoy a big advantage in the paint with the big body of Brockman and being able to hold their own with Thomas in the back court. Meanwhile, for Purdue despite all of the high expectations let’s not forget they are just 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games as their best player in Hummel is still a bit of a question mark after just returning from injury. Bottom line, thanks to Washington being close to home mixed in with the way they destroyed MSU on Thursday I look for the Huskies momentum to continue today as they advance with the win.
All Washington!
