Sometimes, maybe. However, Alabama is a clear example of a team that wasn't motivated to be in their game. I think it's a huge factor in bowl games, it's just a matter of picking your spots.

i have to disagree. utah was clearly the better team and i think they'd beat them 8 out of 10 times. i don't think that was a fluke.

i do think there is a disadvantage to being the big favorite though. there almost no way you can win unless you blow out the dog.

exactly...money and touts were both on the fav and the under....and that line as well creeped up 1 or 1.5 right until the kickoff....i wasnt as sure...so i just teased ut-2 and under 59....think it'll be low scoring...just cant see tressell wanting to trade scores with ut...
