National Basketball Association:
RAPTORS +10.0 -107 at Celtics (OR +400)
Thunder and Nets UNDER 201.5 -105
Trailblazers at Bulls UNDER 193.0 -107

Comments:
RAPTORS +10.0 -107 at Celtics
There's a lot of subjectivity involved when two teams are playing back-to-back games. One team can find itself a lot more motivated than the other.
In this particular case, we wouldn't be afraid at all to take the moneyline with the Raptors (+400). We don't think the Raptors would lose this game for than 4 out of 5 times, not even close. It's just that the pointspread (+10.0) appears to offer somewhat better value. (Can you say "gimme"?) We like this bet.

Thunder and Nets UNDER 201.5 -105
According to us, the Nets are one of the most unpredictable teams in the NBA at this time. Nevertheless, this posted total line of 201.5 appears to be 'way out of line. Our mathematical formulas are forecasting the Nets should win this game by a score of maybe 92-85, give or take 2 or 3 baskets from either team. That's a forecasted total score of maybe 177 points, give or take 3 or 4 baskets. That's a helluva ways from 201.5 points.

Trailblazers at Bulls UNDER 193.0 -107
This play isn't nearly as strong for us as the Thunder-Nets' play, except that these two teams are less erratic than the Nets. Our formulas indicate that neither the Trailblazers nor the Bulls figure to score as many as 96 points. We're predicting a total score in this game of maybe 172 points, give or take 3 or 4 baskets. The bad news is that were predicting a final score of 86-86....If that actually happens, (86-86), we can kiss goodbye to our 'Under' play in overtime.

On Monday night the revenge play of the day is on the Oklahoma sooners at 9pm eastern. The sooners have major revenge on there minds tonight as they have lost 5 straight times to some very good Texas teams.Times have changed though as this years Oklahoma team is vastly imporoved. They are 9-0 at home winning by more than 20 points per game, 5-1 after allowing 60 or less, 4-0 su vs teams who allow 65 or less and are playing with conference tournament revenge.Texas is just 1-4 su as road dogs in this range and do not shoot or defend as well statistically as Oklahoma this year. the Sooners here on Monday night.

Game: Oklahoma City at New Jersey (7:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: Game Total UNDER 202 -110

The Nets have really struggled at home as they have a much better record on the road, which is highly unusual in the NBA. They have really had problems with some of the bad teams, losing to Chicago, Charlotte, LA Clippers, Minnesota, and Toronto. They have played teams with losing records to eight UNDERS to just three OVERS at home. They have managed just 96 ppg against the 11 teams. The Thunder has boasted a very inconsistent offense. After scoring 100+, they have followed by playing 29 of 42 UNDER in their next game. I will back the UNDER in this one.

Coglye's 8* is det/dall over 5.5

Is it possible Coglye made both picks? Why would a poster put something up that is not the real pick?

Game: Tampa Bay at Los Angeles Kings (10:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: Game Total UNDER 5.5 -130

The Lightning has been limited to 2.5 goals a game on the road this season in 23 games. The Kings simply can't get anything going on offense at home. They have already suffered six shutouts on the season. In their last seven home games, the Kings have managed just eight goals or just about one per game and overall, they have played 10 of their last 13 to the UNDER. The Lightning has played six of eight on the road against a team with a losing home record. These teams certainly have held those trends when facing off against each other as the last four between these sputtering offenses has seen all four go UNDER. I don't see that changing and will back the UNDER in this one.

Notre Dame vs. Louisville (NCAAB)
Jan 12, 2009 7:00 PM EST

Play: Louisville

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish leave the friendly confines of the Joyce Center where they have the nation’s longest current winning streak of 45 straight games and travel to face Big East rival Louisville Cardinals on their home court on Monday night.
The Irish have averaged 86.6 points per game on 47.5% shooting from the field and they are shooting better than 44% from behind the arc at home this season. That’s where the good news ends for Irish backers as they average only 77.1 points per game on 45% shooting from the field and only 37.6% from three-point land on the highway this season. Notre Dame has only managed one win away from home in their last four road games and that was against a DePaul team that is 0-4 in league play this season.

Louisville enters tonight’s contest off a one point victory 61 to 60 over then 18th ranked Villanova on Saturday. That was their second league game this season and both have been played on the road with the Cardinals winning and covering both contests. Their first league game was at South Florida last Wednesday with the Cardinals winning 71 to 57 as an 11 point road favorite.

Louisville is averaging 79.7 points per game at home this season versus teams that would normally surrender only 67.5 points per game. The Cardinals are only allowing their opponents to average 57.1 points per game and this to teams that average 71.7 points per game. They are holding opponents to 38% shooting from the field and 30% shooting from behind the arc.

Notre Dame will be unable to dictate the pace of this contest like they do so well at home. Louisville’s guards will control the tempo while Clark and Williams bang the boards to keep the Irish from being able to run their style of offense. Clark and Williams each had 14 points in last season’s game against this Irish team. In Saturday’s win over Villanova Williams had 12 points and 14 rebounds while Clark added 16 points and 11 boards. We expect both of them to have big games tonight against the Irish.

The Cardinals are 25-8 ATS after 2 consecutive conference games over the last 3 seasons. Louisville is 11-2 ATS off a road win against a conference rival over the last 3 seasons and 15-5 ATS off 2 straight wins against conference rivals over the last 3 seasons.

Data base research has uncovered a CBB system that tells us to Play ON CBB home favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points with a team that averages 74-78 points per game against a team that allows 67-74 points per game after allowing 65 points or less 2 straight games, 31-11 ATS the last five seasons.

With significant fundamental, technical and situational support we will recommend laying the chalk with the host here as the Louisville Cardinals make it 3-0 both SU and ATS in league play this season.

PROJECTED FINAL SCORE: (2*) Louisville Cardinals 77 Notre Dame 64

Monday, January 12th, 8:30 p.m. est.

Portland Trail Blazers (22-14) at Chicago Bulls (16-21)
Portland has played horrible away from home, but watching the Bulls disaster on Saturday, a 109-98 home loss to the sorry Oklahoma City Thunder was shameful. Go with the Trail Blazers! Portland has won the last three meetings against Chicago, going 2-1 ATS.

Portland Trail Blazers -3

No there is only one play thats all he plays a day, at least since I've been following him. My guess he's pissed off that he either lost all of his money, or he lost it all on one of coglye's picks and now he wants to give out fake picks so everyone else will lose their money as well. Someone did this with Budin at the end of the college season. I really dislike it when people do this. Like I said guys that post fake picks should get banned at least for a little while.
