Millionaires---Clemson
The motivation continues to flow Clemson's way. They have been the #1 ranked team the entire year. The have gone undefeated the whole season. And the have received little respect along the way. Now we see that Bama is a 6.5 favorite which further fuels the fire. Clemson also possesses the best quarterback in Deshaun Watson in the country and the player taking a backseat to Bama running back Derrick Henry who beat him out in the Heisman race. The defensive front of Clemson can keep pressure on Alabama QB Jake Coker throughout the game. Their secondary is far superior than what Bama played against in throwing against Michigan St. Running on Clemson is not that easy. They have the depth to keep players fresh. One and maybe the only glaring weakness for Alabama is that they only convert on 36% of their third downs. And the Tigers are second in the nation at allowing just 26% conversions which may be the key when looking to cover a pointspread and flip flop a change of possession while chewing more clock. Deshaun Watson can do enough to keep the chains moving and the points going up on the scoreboard. This game is more about entertainment than making a huge wager. Save you big bets on college basketball where we have jumped to a 23-7 start. The multiple formations that Clemson employs will be frustrating and Deshaun Watson's ability to stay cool under pressure should make this a great National Championship game. The over confidence that Bama has may backfire when they see how fast and talented Clemson's offense really is. Watson is a once per generation player and will keep this game enjoyable.
