Chris Jordan
Chris Jordan Monday's winner ...

Guys, I apologize for an earlier typo that had the Chargers as a 300♦. It was always intended to be a 400♦, and this is an easy fix, as you simply need to add 100♦ to your wager - if you've already made it.

400♦ SAN DIEGO CHARGERS - While everyone seems to be chatty-Kathy about the Patriots tonight in their AFC East battle with Buffalo, I am stuck on the ‘other’ team being touted as Super Bowl-caliber, and their jaunt up North to play AFC West-rival Oakland. Led by all-Pro running back LaDainian Tomlinson, I expect the Bolts to absolutely run roughshod through the beleaguered Raiders tonight.

Adrian Peterson lent plenty of hope to Vikings fans yesterday, not to mention lighting up Fantasy scoreboards across the nation; time for L.T. to do his thing. If Peterson is All Day, consider L.T. to be All Night. As in that’s how long he’s going to bring the spotlight back on to him.

The Broncos had a win tipped into Brandon Stokley’s hands, the Chiefs lost in Baltimore and now there’s these two in the AFC West. Quite frankly, it’s a difference in class. If these were four thoroughbreds, the Chargers would be the only one allowed in a stakes race.

And with Tomlinson fired up to rekindle the flame Peterson has seemingly stole from him, and quarterback Philip Rivers coming off an incredible season that saw him lead the league with a 105.5 passer rating last year while throwing for 34 touchdowns, with just 11 interceptions, I don’t believe Oakland has the personnel to stop the Chargers’ offense.

As for the Raiders’ offense, you might as well dress them all up like Tila Tequila, because according to his ‘tweets’, Shawne Merriman is on a mission to destroy anything in Silver and Black. Enhancing them to appear as an 85-pound Asian stripper look-a-like would only make things better.

I know they used to be King of Monday nights, but let me tell you something, according to reports out of Oakland, owner Al Davis is none too pleased with his careworn Raiders being on national television, especially in Week 1. He said he doesn’t like the fact his team has to board a plane in four days to head to Kansas City, but how is that different from when his organization was 24-3-1 on Mondays back in the 70s and 80s. That tells me one thing – he knows his team has nothing to stand up to the Bolts and heading into this season.

Could it be the Raiders have lost six straight on Monday nights by a combined score of 173-41 – including season openers against these same Chargers (27-0 in 2006) and the Broncos (41-14 in 2008). And oh yes, those were both in Oaktown. The Silver and Black have lost 10 consecutive nationally televised games – the last half-dozen by a combined tally of 151-33, an average final of 25.1-5.5.

One of the aforementioned TV games was a 34-7 loss to the Chargers last season, albeit that one was in San Diego. I doubt much has changed, other than the faces in Oakland. And since the Bolts are 11-0 SU and 10-1 ATS the last 11 meetings in this rivalry, I’m thinking the play tonight is on San Diego.

Monday night RUN LINE winners ...

All three of these plays are on the Run Line

100♦ TEXAS RANGERS (WITH Feldman) - Texas is in must-win mode at this point, as it lost two of three against Seattle over the weekend and is now four games back of Boston in the American League Wild Card race. Normally, I might say it’s a given the Red Sox are a shoo-in at this point, but with 20 games left in the season, and the Crimson Hose playing in the almighty A.L. East, nothing is for sure. The Rangers catch an Oakland team that won’t be able to challenge Scott Feldman, who has been dominating most recently, allowing one run over 26-1/3 innings and winning his last four starts behind a stifling 0.34 ERA. More importantly, Feldman won both of his starts against the Athletics this year, allowing four runs and nine hits in 12 innings. He’ll get the run support, as Brett Tomko toes the slab for the A’s, and the Oakland right-hander is 1-2 with an 8.74 ERA in five starts against the Rangers. Take the home team on the run line.

100♦ L.A. DODGERS (TAKE Garland over McCutchen) - Trust me, the heat is on the Dodgers to win baseball games right now. And I don’t mean squeak games out, I mean blasting folks. This is the perfect chance to distance themselves, as Colorado is in San Francisco, while the Bucs are in L.A. The Dodgers realistically have a fairly easy schedule remaining, with seven games left against the Pirates, the National League Central’s and three against arguably the worst club in baseball, Washington. The Dodgers and Pirates haven’t met this season, but Los Angeles has won five of seven each of the last two years in this series. And since the Dodgers are back in Chavez Ravine after winning series in Arizona and San Francisco during a 4-2 road trip, I think the momentum will guide this team to a sweep of the Bucs. Lay the run line with Los Angeles tonight as it shreds the visiting Pirates.

100♦ S.F. GIANTS (TAKE Lincecum over Hammel) - The Giants couldn’t ask for a better situation if they’re thinking about getting back into the postseason race. Colorado is ahead in the National League Wild Card standings, but the home team has been dominant in this rivalry this season, while the Giants have arguably the best pitcher in the game on the bump tonight. Nothing’s impossible, as San Francisco already pulled into a tie with Colorado for the wild-card lead once, after sweeping three games at home against the Rockies at the end of last month. That was when Tim Lincecum struck out eight over eight innings in a 2-0 victory for the Giants on Aug. 28. San Francisco is 5-1 against the Rockies at AT&T Park this season. Laying the run line is tough in a rivalry game like this, but the Rockies’ Jason Hammel is hittable. Tonight I expect the Giants to put it on him, and Lincecum to pitch a gem.[/FONT

Bobby Maxwell Monday's winner... 300-Unit NFL Monday Night Mismatch - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS There's no way the Patriots don't come out tonight and put on a spectacular offensive show. They are loaded on offense and with Tom Brady back at QB, they are motivated to prove they're the best team, not only in the AFC, but in the entire NFL. New England has won 11 straight times against Buffalo and most of those games have been blowouts. The average score over those 11 games is 29-9 for the Patriots and the last two times Brady has faced the Bills, New England has outscored them 94-17. Brady already had plenty of weapons at his disposal with WRs Randy Moss and Wes Welker, but now he's added veteran RB Fred Taylor and WR Joey Galloway to go with the explosive unit. Defensively, the Patriots are getting younger and might have a little trouble, but they shouldn't be too bad against the offensively-challenged Bills. Buffalo RB Marshawn Lynch is a star in the making, but he'll be out this game with a three-game suspension after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge in March. The Bills' first-team offense managed just three points in 15 preseason series and their offensive coordinator was fired Sept. 4. So this team is a train wreck coming in to face the Pats. New England is on ATS runs of 36-16-1 against the AFC East and 4-1 on Monday night. Buffalo is just 1-5 ATS in its last six against division rivals and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 overall. The Bills are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight visits to New England and 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings with the Pats overall.
This one is going to get ugly, quickly. Look for a final of 35-13 as New England cruises to this win and cover.

Randy woods(pingpongfool) -
1* San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders Money Line +190 for 1st Quarter
In this business my job is to find ways to make money and I have a nice dog line here for you in the 1st quarter. (Remember, don’t try to knock the ball out of the park with this one, it is only a 1 star play. That’s 1 unit or 1% of your bankroll. Don't forget we are here to make money in the long run, for the whole season, not make all out money in one night. Never and I mean never bet more than you are willing to lose)

The Raiders have been the armpit of the NFL for awhile. Most don't like the owner and I will have to say, his windbreaker sweats get on my nerves too. But look for a big night from fellow SEC boys, JaMarcus Russell and Darren McFadden. The crowd will be crazy (and most of them are up there in Oakland) and the home team will have the advantage as they "hope" for something (anything, just give me a good season) from their beloved Raiders.

The Bolts did make the playoffs last year but were only 8-8. Don't drink too much of the Chargers kool-aid for tonight. I think playing them in the full game is a risk. I'm not saying anything crazy like the Raiders will win the game but I do like them to win the ML in the 1st quarter.

johnny Keelen(abats computer simulator) - san diego -8

andrew morris - 1* LAA/NYY ov 9.5
Joba has been awful has of late and Weaver is off as of late. The two best lineups in the Majors go at it in a Little League sized ballpark.Yanks hitting .330 in their last 10 vs. righties and Joba is always good for some runs. Let the home run derby begin!

lillefty(matt dennehy) - 1* Bonus Play on Cleveland & Minnesota under 9
Yesterday the sox and Tampa played a crisp 3-1 pitchers duel giving our Bonus Play on the under 9 an easy win. That brought the Bonus Play run to 9-4 in the last 13 games. Today we keep riding the under train as the Twins offense just continues to disappoint. Just 1 week ago these 2 teams played 3 straight unders. These same 2 pitchers played to a 7 run game in that series. Cleveland has hit under .200 as a team in 4 of the last 5 games. Minnesota had played to the under 8-1-1 in their last 10. Sowers has a 3.2 era in 43Inn lifetime vs the Twins and has held them down pretty good over his career. Pavano is pitching very solidly right now with 4 straight QS. Look for another 5-2 type game in this one just like the last time these 2 met up.

Good luck tonight, lets cash !!
Lefty

Brady Lessard(crystal ball) -
Crystal Ball delievered again last night, and continues an amazing DOCUMENTED run. Tonight, I'll keep it simple:
Take the PATRIOTS(-6.5) in the 1st Half over the BILLS. New England is just too strong for this defense and Terrell Owens hardly counters for Buffalo. Keep the emails and calls coming, I love each and every one of you!

Crystal Ball is out!

enjoy the plays!!

The Oakland Raiders' continue to have problems after firing of their coach last year and now involves newly acquired defensive lineman Richard Seymour, who was obtained from New England last Sunday in exchange for a first-round draft pick in 2011 but did not report to the Raiders although the five-time Pro Bowler told the Boston Herald that he would report Saturday after initially being taken aback by the trade.Since falling to Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl in January 2003, the Raiders have employed five coaches in six seasons and posted an NFL-worst 24-72 record in that time, losing at least 11 games in a record six consecutive years.San Diego will begin its quest for a fourth straight AFC West title as they have the fourth-most wins since 2004 with 54.The Chargers have one of the league's rising stars in quarterback Philip Rivers who last season threw for a career-best 4,009 yards, had a league-leading 105.5 passer rating and broke Dan Fouts' team record for touchdown passes with 34. Ladamion Tomlinson has recovered from a nagging toe injury that hampered him last year and enters the season with 11,760 rushing yards (14th all-time) and his 141 total touchdowns are tied with Buffalo's Terrell Owens for fourth on that list. The Chargers also signed backup Darren Sproles as the team's franchise player.San Diego is looking to improve a defense that ranked 25th last season and Shawn Marion being back on that defense will make all the difference. The Raiders hope former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell will finally start paying off after a promising end to last season. Russell had an 88.5 passer rating over his final seven starts, winning three of them while throwing seven touchdowns against four interceptions. Oakland is also looking for a similar breakout year from another former top draft pick, running back Darren McFadden. As a rookie in 2008, he rushed for 499 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games but was plagued with toe and ankle problems. san Diedo has all their healthy waepns back this year as they feel short with a lot of injuries only to lose to the Steelers. This is the best team in the ACF when healthy and their offense will be a record breakin offense this year as they are more balanced than any team in the NFL. This a bad spot for Oakland as they looked terrible in the Preseason as no one stooped San Diego's 1st team offense in the Preseason. San Diego wins by 3 Touchdowns going away in this one.

TAKE SAN DIEGO -9.5
