COMP PLAY

GAME: Houston Rockets @ Milwaukee Bucks Feb 9, 2009 8:00PM
SPORT: National Basketball Assoc.
PICK: Milwaukee Bucks
Offered at: 5.5 Belmont
REASON FOR PICK: Scott Rickenbach's FREE PICK (Opinion Only): Milwaukee BUCKS – Please note that the write-ups with my star-rated and/or guaranteed picks are more in-depth than the analysis provided with my Free Picks. Thanks for joining me today and good luck! The old "ugly home dog" theory is at work here. Who is going to want the Bucks in a spot like this? Michael Redd, Andrew Bogut, and Luke Ridnour are all out for the Bucks. The Rockets, conversely, are healthy. So, why invest in the Bucks in a spot like this? Because the wounded dog is often the one that bites the hardest! The fact is that these ugly home dog, where other players are getting rare opportunities or extra minutes, are often the precise situations where upsets happen.

Milwaukee played much better than expected against Detroit on Saturday night but they fell just short in overtime and had to settle for a "moral" victory. Here, the Bucks once again have "upset" on their minds and they have confidence from how well they played versus the Pistons. This team can still put up points and that makes them very tough to put away...especially when they are on their home floor. Certainly we're not going to deny that the Rockets are the superior team in this match-up. However, we will say that it is the Bucks that hold the situational and motivational edges and that goes a long way in a game like this. Consider a small play on Milwaukee plus the points on Monday night. Thanks and best of luck always from Scott Rickenbach

Stan Sharp | NBA Sides Double-Dime Bet
507 HOU -6.0 (-110) BetUS vs 508 MIL
Analysis: Stan is Betting HOUSTON today. Stan notes that Milwaukee is coming off of a high scoring game on Saturday and thus we are getting line value with the Houston side. Houston's defense will slow Milwaukee down and enable Houston to cover the short number. Houston wins this by 10-13 points. TAKE Houston as STAN SHARP'S MONDAY NIGHT BEST BET and make them a DOUBLE DIME PLAY.

MisterMJ

There are no regular system plays today.

I have a small lean on Houston / Milwaukee Over 195

Play it small...or wait for a more proven system pick.

Good luck. MJ
