On Friday the free NCAAB Play is on Montana St. Game 864 at 6:05 eastern. Montana St is off a nice win vs Weber. St tonight they take on Northern Arizona knowing they are 5-0 at home winning by an average 19 points per game. They have done well as a short home dog of late. N. Arizona is 3-14 ats with 1 or less day of rest the past few years and a horrendous 7-26 when playing teams with a winning record. Not a good idea laying points in this spot. vs. Florida State (9-4) 7:30 ET
South Carolina would be favored by more, but Spurrier
is 1 for 4 in his most recent bowls, and The Gamecocks
were dismantled by Auburn in their last game.
Cam Newton looked like a man among boys. He threw
4 touchdowns, and rushed for 2, against a team that is much better defending the run than the pass.
South Carolina was on their heels midway through the
first quarter. The Tigers looked them in the eye, and just pulled away. The Gamecocks can dominate on the ground, even
though recent numbers reflect a better passing game.
Florida State's defense was exploited by Virginia Tech
in their last game. The Hokie's offense has had some high
scoring games, but none against the better teams
(unless you want to include NC State).
Even though Florida State has been an NFL incubation machine
for the last two decades, they have been out recruited by
S. Carolina the last few years.
FYI..... The Seminoles have 31 who play in The NFL compared
to 20 players for The Gamecocks.
Florida State may have QB issues. Ponder has been throwing
the ball well in preparation, but (even though downplayed)
his health is a concern.
