Boston Red Sox -143

There is no doubt that Felix Hernandez is the better pitcher in this matchup, but Seattle has such a tough time scoring runs. Hernandez will have to pitch a flawless game and I find that very hard to do with such humid weather tonight. I really do not see him lasting that long. Boston can get more runs with one swing of the bat then the Mariners can in one game. Take the Red Sox.

Line Up Alert

Scott Rolen (shoulder) is not in the Reds' Friday evening lineup against the Braves.
Miguel Cairo will start in his place

Jay Bruce is not in the Reds' Friday evening lineup against the Braves.

Colby Rasmus is again out of the Cardinals lineup

Jason Kipnis will start at second base and bat eighth in his major-league debut on Friday.
There had been some speculation that the Indians would use Kipnis in the outfield during Grady Sizemore's absence, but it looks like he'll remain at his natural second base for the time being.

As expected, Adam Dunn (knee) is back in the White Sox lineup on Friday.
He'll bat fourth while starting at his usual designated hitter.

Phillies activated RHP Brad Lidge from the 15-day disabled list.

GC MLB System Play

On Friday the MLB Free System Side is on the Cleveland Indians. Game 922 at 7:05 eastern. The Indians apply to a system that has cashed 10 of 11 times the past 8 years and plays on home favorites off a road loss by 2 or more runs vs an opponent off a road loss and scored 2 or less runs with 5+ hits and 4 or less men left on base. Nice system here for Cleveland and couple it with the White sox having lost 5 of 7 after a day off. G. Floyd makes the start here and he struggles every year on the road. In his last start here in Cleveland he had perhaps his worst start of his career allowing 7 runs in just 1 inning. C. Carrasco starts for Cleveland and his poor home numbers keep this play from unit rated status. Both bullpens are about equal. On the Power of the nice system we will back the Indians to emerge with the win tonight. On Friday its a Huge card with 4 plays. Alive MLB Dog of the Month from an 88% system and 3 Top Tier totals with 49-4 combined systems in which 2 are perfect. For the Bonus Play take the Cleveland Indians. GC

Line Up Alert 2

David Ortiz is back from his suspension and in the starting lineup Friday night against the Mariners.
Ortiz hasn't played since Sunday's extra-inning marathon against the Rays.

Jason Bay (hamstring) is out of the Mets' lineup for the second straight day Friday.
Bay won't require a stint on the disabled list, but he did request another day to rest his right hamstring

Orioles activated OF Luke Scott (shoulder) from the 15-day disabled list.
Out since July 3, Scott will start at DH and bat sixth on Friday evening.

David Wright - 3B - Mets
Mets activated 3B David Wright (back) from the 15-day disabled list.
At long last. Wright last played on May 15, and was sporting a 226/.337/.404 triple slash before literally breaking his back. He crushed the ball during his six game rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie, batting .476 while posting a .593 on-base percentage and .619 slugging percentage. He'll bat cleanup for the Mets tonight.
