Matchup: Baltimore at San Diego
Time: 10:05 PM EDT (Fri)
Listed pitchers must go: (L) MATUSZ, B vs. (L) LEBLANC, W

Play: San Diego (-1.5 +141)

I really like the SD Padres in this game vs the Baltimore Orioles...for everyone who has been following my picks knows that the O's are on top of my fade list, especially on the road...the Orioles have 48 losses on the year, 38 of them have been by 2+ runs or more...the Orioles are the worst road team in baseball with a 7-27 record...B.Matusz is just 2-7 on the year and the Orioles are just 1-9 in Matuszs last 10 starts...W.LeBlanc on the other hand has pitched much better than his 4-4 record...he is 2-1 over his last three starts with an ERA of 1.47 and considering those starts where vs C.Lee, C.Hamels and M.Pelfrey, thats pretty solid...Padres run line is the play

Matchup: Minnesota at Philadelphia
Time: 7:05 PM EDT (Fri)
Listed pitchers must go: (R) BLACKBURN, N vs. (R) BLANTON, J

Play: Minnesota (ML +115)

You won't often see me trying to make money on Nick Blackburn pitching away from home. The Twins righty is a lifetime 9-20 on the road, which clearly does not exactly inspire confidence. But he's facing a stone cold Joe Blanton tonight. Blanton is arguably about as awful as it can possibly get right now, and is definite fade material as even moderate chalk. The Philliesw are starting to swing the bats, but the Twins can also knock it around the park, and with Blanton serving up homers by the bunch, I believe they can outscore the hosts tonight. I'll go for the underdog odds with Minnesota.
