ST. LOUIS CARDINALS -125
(Wacha/Liriano)
Michael Wacha has been brilliant and at this value he is hard to pass up. This Cardinals team has played most of their games on the road this year so when that evens out I expect them to be on top of the NL Central in no time. Take St. Louis

Game: Kansas City Royals @ Seattle Mariners
Time: Friday 05/09 10:10 PM Eastern
Pick: Game Total UNDER 7 (-110) at Bookmaker

Jason Vargas has pitched well for Kansas City, but not over his last two starts, however, he has an excellent track record at Safeco. Last year, as a member of the LA Angels, Vargas pitched to a 1.88 ERA in Seattle. Brandon Maurer picked up his first win of the season in his last outing, and should take to the mound as a confident pitcher for this one, especially at home. The Royals have gotten strong pitching of late and have a rested pen, as they have allowed just two total runs in their last three games. The offense, however, has dragged them down by scoring a meager 3 runs or less in 17 games thus far. The Royals are now 20-8-2 to the UNDER after scoring 2 or fewer runs in their previous game. Seattle has turned in a 4-0 mark to the UNDER in Mauer's last four starts at home vs. a team with a losing record. Back the UNDER.

2* Pacers +5

I think the Pacers FINALLY got over the hump in game 2. What we saw in game 1 was a Wizards team that hit EVERYTING they threw up, and Beal & crew just absolutely went off. That was an outlier to the norm in terms of offensive efficiency, and if they play that way again, they will win. However, I just don’t see it happening. Roy Hibbert had a stellar game 2, and I’m not sure Indiana can expect it again or with regularity. However, the Pacers DON’T need 28 points from him. They need him to rebound, and be a defensive presence on the floor. And I think that can be expected to some degree. So long as he alters shots, plays with passion, and gives productive minutes, they SHOULD be okay with Hibbert. And like I said in the game 2 write-up…if he doesn’t perform, Vogel has NO choice but to bench him as he’s coaching for his job. So look for the Pacers to come out and be competitive with a chance to win with the pressure surprisingly on the Wizards, coming home to Washington where fans THINK and EXPECT them to win.

HONDO

NY Mets w/Mejia
Miami Marlines w/Fernandez

The Giants took care of Hondo’s West Coast business for him Thursday night, disposing of the Dodgers to lower the deficit to 540 staubs.
Friday: Mr. Aitch will try to get in the flow with the Metamucils — 10 units on Mejia. Also, he will back Miami’s big fish — 10 units on Fernandez.
