The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Spurs at Grizzlies: What Bettors Need to Know
By Covers Staff

San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies (-1, 190.5)
Memphis leads series 3-2

THE STORY: A last-second heave from beyond the arc has given San Antonio life. The Spurs hope to extend their postseason stay at least one more game as they face the host Memphis Grizzlies Friday in Game 6 of their Western Conference first-round series. San Antonio escaped the clutches of elimination with a 110-103 win in Game 5 on Wednesday night. The Spurs will need two more victories just like it to advance to the second round.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN.

ABOUT THE GRIZZLIES: Memphis looked downright deflated after Gary Neal's 3-pointer at the buzzer forced overtime in Game 5. The Grizzlies couldn't match the Spurs shot-for-shot in overtime, and eventually lost by seven points to the top-seeded team in the West. Zach Randolph had 26 points and 11 rebounds, and put Memphis in position to win by hitting an 18-footer as the shot clock expired to give the Grizzlies a three-point edge late. All is not lost for Memphis, which still has two chances to win the best-of-seven and become just the second No. 8 seed to knock off a No. 1 team in the opening round. The Grizzlies have won their last four home games against the Spurs, including two in this series.

ABOUT THE SPURS: Neal is the toast of San Antonio, at least for the next two days. His long 3-pointer from the top of the arc sent the home crowd into a tizzy, and the Spurs rode that momentum to a dominant performance down the stretch in the extra session. Manu Ginobili had 33 points to lead the Spurs, while Tony Parker added 24 points and nine assists just two nights after a one-assist, seven-turnover performance in Game 4. The key to extending the series to a seventh game will be San Antonio's ability to excel on the road. Monday's Game 4 defeat was one of the worst of the season for the Spurs, who have lost eight of their last nine games away from San Antonio dating back to late-March.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Ginobili had one of his most complete games of the campaign Wednesday, adding six rebounds, six assists and four steals. Grizzlies C Marc Gasol had 17 rebounds for the second time in the series, but his 5-of-14 shooting performance ultimately tipped the scales in favor of the Spurs.

KEY STATISTIC: 39:47 - Spurs forward Tim Duncan's playing time in Game 4, a season high for the aging big man. How he bounces back on just one day of rest could determine whether San Antonio can steal a win in Tennessee.

TRENDS:

* Over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
* Under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings in Memphis.
* Underdog is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
* Spurs are 1-9-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
* Spurs are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Memphis.

LAST WORD: "We needed 48 minutes. We didn’t need 47 minutes and 59, 58 seconds and three-tenths. We needed the full 48 to get it done." - Grizzlies forward Shane Battier.

PICK 'N' ROLL

Friday's Best NBA Bet

San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies (-2.5, 189.5)

The Grizzlies are younger than the Spurs and quite possibly better, but the question now is do they know how to finish off a playoff series?

Memphis came darn close to doing just that on Wednesday in what would have been a shocking five-game upset, but the veteran Spurs said no. Manu Ginobili and Gary Neal hit miracle shots within the final three seconds of regulation to keep San Antonio’s season alive.

How does a team that had never previously won a single postseason game recover from having an entire series victory snatched away from it just like that? Well, the Grizzlies certainly did not recover in overtime (losing by seven), so what’s to say they will recover in Game 6?

“We needed 48 minutes,” forward Shane Battier said afterward. “We didn’t need 47 minutes and 59, 58 seconds and three-tenths. We needed the full 48 to get it done.”

Memphis is going to need the same on Friday, especially against an experienced opponent that knows all about playing the full 48.

Plus, it’s not like Memphis was completely dominating the series even before the end of Game 5. The only game that has not gone with home-court advantage was the opener, and even in that one the Spurs just barely lost (and blew a late lead) despite not having the injured Ginobili. Now, of course, Ginobili is back and averaging 21.8 points per game in his last four—including a 33-point onslaught during Wednesday’s heroics.

Take the Spurs, although it could be wise to take the 2.5 points as well for leeway in what should be another down-to-the-wire contest.

PICK: SA Spurs

Mariners-Red Sox: Betting Preview
By ESPN.com

Seattle Mariners at Boston Red Sox (-190, 9)

Daisuke Matsuzaka has put together two straight strong outings for the Boston Red Sox. It may be even more surprising that the Seattle Mariners have strung together three straight big offensive efforts.

The surging Matsuzaka will try to slow down a suddenly potent Mariners' lineup Friday night in the opener of a three-game set at Fenway Park.

After going 0-2 with a 12.86 ERA in his first two outings, Matsuzaka (2-2, 4.09 ERA) has turned in two straight scoreless efforts in which he's been nearly unhittable. The right-hander gave up one hit over seven innings in a 9-1 home win over Toronto and yielded one hit over seven in Saturday's 5-0 victory at the Los Angeles Angels.

"When he goes out there and throws strikes and throws it where he wants to and get ahead, that's what he can do," third baseman Kevin Youkilis said.

Matsuzaka is 2-1 with a 4.11 ERA in eight career starts against Seattle (11-15), and compatriot Ichiro Suzuki is 6 for 22 against him. Chone Figgins is 5 for 7.

The Mariners have won four straight on the road after scoring 24 runs in a three-game sweep in Detroit. Suzuki was 5 for 15, Figgins 5 for 13 with four RBIs and Justin Smoak 4 for 11 with two homers and eight RBIs.

"You baby step in the right direction, you put up better at-bats, make more productive outs and then you start to see some results," manager Eric Wedge told the Mariners' official website. "And that's what I think you're seeing."

Miguel Olivo went 7 for 13 with his first two homers to raise his average from .164 to .230. Wedge has indicated that Olivo -- 1 for 6 against Matsuzaka -- will start Friday.

Second baseman Jack Wilson left Thursday's 7-2 victory in the fifth inning with irritation of the right eye. His status is uncertain.

Boston (11-13) won seven of 10 against Seattle last season as Youkilis went 8 for 18. Figgins was 15 for 35 in those games while Suzuki was 9 for 39.

The Red Sox are back home after a 6-3 trip they capped with Thursday's 6-2 win over Baltimore behind Jon Lester's eight dominating innings.

"The guys are starting to feel a little bit better about themselves now, and hopefully we can go home and really start playing well," Lester said. "To go 6-3 on this road trip, we'll take it, the way we started off the season."

Adrian Gonzalez and Jacoby Ellsbury each had three hits to continue their torrid hitting. Gonzalez is 9 for 18 in his last four games and Ellsbury is 11 for 24 in his last five.

The Red Sox are 4-6 against left-handed starters, and will try to keep Jason Vargas (0-2, 5.53) winless. Vargas is 0-9 with a 5.67 ERA in his last 13 starts, and allowed six runs over five-plus innings in Saturday's 9-1 loss to Oakland.

Vargas has never pitched at Fenway Park, and is 0-1 with a 2.19 ERA in two career starts against Boston. Carl Crawford is 0 for 9 against him.

"I'm looking forward to it," Vargas said. "They've got a good lineup. It should be a good test."

HOT LINES

Friday’s Best MLB Bets

Seattle Mariners at Boston Red Sox (-190, 9)

All of a sudden, the Mariners are putting a pile of crooked numbers on the board.

They’re coming off a three-game sweep of the Tigers in which they outscored Detroit 24-6 and they have now won five of their last seven heading into this weekend’s series in Beantown.

Miguel Olivo smacked a solo homer in Thursday’s 7-2 win and ended up going 7-for-13 with six runs scored in the series, while Justin Smoak finished with eight RBIs in the three games.

“It just doesn’t happen over night,” manager Eric Wedge said of the offensive outburst. “There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes with these guys. You baby step in the right direction, you put up better at-bats, make more productive outs and then you start to see some results. And that’s what I think you’re seeing.”

The Mariners will have to zone-in if they’re going get to Daisuke Matsuzaka, who’s coming off a pair of sparkling starts. Consistency has never been Dice-K’s forte though and we’ll take a flyer with Seattle to lead off the series.

PICK: Seattle Mariners

Pittsburgh Pirates at Colorado Rockies (-185, 8.5)

Maybe a few matchups against the Pittsburgh Pirates is just what Rockies slugger Carlos Gonzalez needs to get going.

Gonzalez is hitting just .214 with home run this season and is mired in an 0-for-22 slump heading into Friday’s game. For a guy that finished third in NL MVP voting last year, he thinks it’s only a matter of time before he starts spanking the cover off the ball.

"It's going to come," Gonzalez told the Rockies' official website. "I'm really glad it's still April, and I'm really glad the team is playing well. It's not like a lot of pressure, because the team's not winning. ... We're lucky."

They got some more good luck when a rain-out in Chicago on Wednesday gave them an extra day of rest. This price is too steep to jump on Colorado, but we’ll gladly take the over.

PICK: Over

What Bettors Need to Know: Friday's NHL Playoff Action
By Cover Staff

Tampa Bay Lightning at Washington Capitals (-170, 5.5)

THE STORY: The Tampa Bay Lightning have certainly received all they could ask for and more out of Dwayne Roloson. Acquired from the New York Islanders on New Year's Day for prospect Ty Wishart, Roloson has stopped 144 of the last 151 shots he faced - including all 36 in a 1-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. The 41-year-old netminder will need to continue his stingy play when he leads the fifth-seeded Lightning into the Verizon Center to face the top-seeded Washington Capitals in Game 1 of their semifinal series on Friday. The Capitals won four of the six meetings between the Southeast Division rivals this season. In addition, they have also skated to victory in nine of their last 11 against the Lightning at home.

TV: 7 ET, VERSUS, TSN

ABOUT THE CAPITALS: Washington was in an unfamiliar role after eliminating the eighth-seeded New York Rangers in five games. Instead of answering questions about yet another early exit in the playoffs, coach Bruce Boudreau's club could enjoy a bit of rest before beginning its next series. The rest could prove to be incredibly helpful to stud defenseman Mike Green, who got his bell rung in Game 5. Although he returned to the bench after blocking a shot, Green did not re-enter the contest. Michal Neuvirth provided consistent goaltending during the series, posting a Kate Moss-like thin 1.38 goals-against average. The 23-year-old netminder won both of his career decisions against the Lightning.

ABOUT THE LIGHTNING: Roloson enjoyed considerable success against the Capitals this season. Playing in his first game with his new team, Roloson turned aside all 34 shots he faced in a 1-0 win over Washington on Jan. 4. Eight days later, he stopped all 23 shots in a 3-0 triumph over the Southeast Division champions. Hart Trophy finalist Martin St. Louis led the Lightning with eight points (four goals, four assists) against the Penguins, while Simon Gagne (two goals, five assists) and Steve Downie (one goal, six assists) added seven points apiece. Captain Vincent Lecavalier recorded two of the team's four game-winning goals against the Penguins.

WHO'S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Tampa Bay's Sean Bergenheim collected three goals and four assists during the last four games of the quarterfinal series. Bergenheim netted the lone goal in Game 7. Washington superstar Alex Ovechkin led the Capitals with six points (three goals, three assists) and a team-leading 23 hits against the Rangers. Jason Chimera had two of Washington's four game-winning goals in the series.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Lightning stopped 34 of 35 shorthanded situations against the Penguins in their quarterfinal series. Tampa Bay also scored on eight of its 27 power-play opportunities. For its part, Washington went 3-for-16 with the man advantage while stopping 19 of 20 shorthanded situations.

SEASON SERIES: The Capitals skated to a 6-3 home win on Nov. 11 and returned for a 6-0 home triumph on Nov. 26. Tampa Bay countered with a 1-0 road overtime victory on Jan. 4 and a 3-0 home win eight days later. Washington answered with a 5-2 road victory on Feb. 4 and a 2-1 road shootout win on March 7.

TRENDS:

* Under is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
* Favorite is 15-5 in the last 20 meetings.
* Lightning are 6-20 in the last 26 meetings.
* Lightning are 2-9 in the last 11 meetings in Washington.

LAST WORD: Tampa Bay became the fourth team in the last three years to overcome a 3-1 series deficit to advance in the NHL playoffs.

Detroit Red Wings at San Jose Sharks (-119, 5.5)

THE STORY: Two familiar foes do battle in second-round playoff action as the Detroit Red Wings take on the host San Jose Sharks. The Red Wings are coming off an impressive four-game sweep of the Phoenix Coyotes and have had the most time off of any second-round participant. The Sharks needed six emotional games to dispatch the rival Los Angeles Kings.

TV: 10 p.m. ET, Versus, TSN

ABOUT THE SHARKS: Joe Thornton's series-clinching overtime goal against the Kings in Game 6 - and the joyous backslide that followed - are now distant memories for the Sharks, who must now gear up for a showdown with the formidable Wings. San Jose has had Detroit's number in recent history, winning three of four regular-season meetings and having eliminated the Red Wings in five games in last year's conference semifinals. But the Sharks know that Detroit is no pushover, having been to the Stanley Cup finals in 2009 and 2010 and boasting one of the deepest lineups in hockey. San Jose will be led by Thornton, rookie sniper Logan Couture and veteran Ryane Clowe, who led the Sharks with seven points in Round 1.

ABOUT THE RED WINGS: Detroit's core forwards and defensemen are finally healthy following an injury-marred campaign, and that could spell trouble for the Sharks. The Red Wings appear ready to toss out the regular season results, given that they weren't full strength for any of them. Detroit rolled over the Coyotes in the opening round, scoring 4 1/2 goals per game while getting tallies from 13 different players. Netminder Jimmy Howard wasn't a world-beater against the Coyotes, registering a 2.50 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. But playing behind an offense featuring the likes of Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg and a defense anchored by Niklas Lidstrom, Howard didn't have to be.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Thornton had six points and was a plus-5 in four games against the Red Wings this season. Datsyuk had four points in the opening round and was a plus-6, tied for the best rating on the team.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Detroit struck four times in 15 power-play opportunities for a 26.7-percent success rate. The Sharks will need to be better than they were in the first round after going just 2 for 23 with the man advantage against the Kings.

SEASON SERIES: San Jose won the final three regular-season meetings after dropping the opener Nov. 30. San Jose has won seven of the last 10 encounters overall.

TRENDS:

* Over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings.
* Over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in San Jose.
* Red Wings are 1-4 in the last five meetings in San Jose.
* Red Wings are 2-8 in the last 10 meetings.

LAST WORD: "It's a very talented team. You have guys like Thornton, (Dany) Heatley, (Dan) Boyle, and (Patrick) Marleau, guys who can score. Good goaltender (Antti Niemi). Up and down, it's a talented team and it won't be easy." - Detroit's Niklas Kronwall speaking to the Detroit News about San Jose's overall skill.

Friday's Best NHL Bets

Tampa Bay Lightning at Washington Capitals (-170, 5.5)

The Lightning are making a quick turnaround, having prevailed in Game 7 at Pittsburgh on Wednesday and now paying a visit to Washington on Friday. On the other hand, the Capitals took care of the Rangers in five games and ended that series last Saturday.

“It’s been good,” Matt Hendricks told the Washington Post of the time off. “We’re getting the rest we needed. The best thing about this is, now you can get that anxiety going again, you get that feeling, that tingle when you’re ready to go. You could feel it in practice; the guys were working hard and the tempo was very high. It’s an exciting time and you could sense it.”

The Caps probably won’t mind getting Tampa Bay in Round 2. While the Lightning have a ton of momentum from coming back from 3-1 down in the first round, it came at the expense of a Pittsburgh squad that was decimated by key injuries. Plus, Washington went 4-2 against the Lightning during the regular season, won the last two, and won one matchup by a 6-0 margin.

Michal Neuvirth is heating up in goal for the Capitals. He has not allowed more than three goals in a game since April 2. The 23-year-old posted a 1.38 GAA against the Rangers in Round 1 and recorded a .946 save percentage with one shutout.

PICK: Washington Capitals

Detroit Red Wings at San Jose Sharks (-120, 5.5)

So far the path has been the same for Detroit as last year’s playoffs - beat Phoenix in Round 1, go up against San Jose in the conference semis.

In 2010, though, the Red Wings needed seven games to get past the Coyotes. They started the series against San Jose two days later and lost three straight games 4-3 before falling in five. This time around a well-rested Detroit team swept Phoenix.

“Last year, they played at Phoenix; 48 hours later they were in San Jose playing Game 1,” ESPN’s E.J. Hradek noted. “For me, last year Detroit was beat up, they were worn out; tough first-round series, older team. This year, well-rested, Henrik Zetterberg didn't even play in the first round, coming back healthy; Pavel Datsyuk has been terrific; Nick Lidstrom played fewer minutes and should be rested and ready to go.”

All of that may be well and good in the long run, but the bottom is line is that the Red Wings have not played since April 20. It’s going to take some time to get back into game mode, and that’s not a luxury against a San Jose team that has won three in a row in the head-to-head series and finished off Los Angeles in Game 6 on Monday.

The Sharks scored a total of 16 goals in their final three victories over the Kings and Joe Thornton is on a roll. He tallied points in each of his last four games, including the series-clinching goal in overtime.

PICK: San Jose Sharks

FRIDAY BETTORS' TIPS AND NOTES
Friday's Betting Tips: Grizzlies Own Spurs ATS
By Covers Staff

Who's Hot

NBA: Memphis is 9-0-1 against the spread in its last 10 games against the San Antonio Spurs.

NBA: 23 of San Antonio’s last 32 games have played over the total.

NHL: The over is 13-4-2 in San Jose’s last 19 games overall.

MLB: Florida has won seven of its last nine.

Who’s Not

NBA: San Antonio is 0-7-1 against the spread in its last eight.

NHL: Tampa Bay has won just six of its last 26 meetings with the Washington Capitals.

NHL: Detroit has won just two of its last 10 matchups with San Jose.

MLB: San Diego is just 2-8 in its last 10.

Key Stat

3 – Heading into Friday’s Spurs-Grizzlies game, just three No. 8 seeds have upset a No. 1 seed in NBA history. The Grizzlies have a shot at becoming the fourth team to accomplish that feat at home against the Spurs as a 3-point favorite.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Travis Hafner, Cleveland Indians: Hafner sat out Thursday’s game against Kansas City with right ankle inflammation and his status is now in question for Friday’s matchup with Detroit. Cleveland’s DH is off to a great start this season, hitting .345 through 21 games.

Game Of The Day

San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies (-3, 189.5)

Notable Quotable

"They beat us last year, ended our season. That in itself should have us a little fired up and wary. They beat us three of four times this year. So it’s up to us." – Detroit Red Wings coach Mike Babcock on facing San Jose again this season after the Sharks ousted them from the playoffs last season. Detroit and San Jose are both currently pegged at -115 to win the series.

Tips And Notes

The Red Wings will get a big boost if forward Henrik Zetterberg makes his return to the lineup, as expected. Zetterberg led the team with 80 points in the regular season but has been out of action since spraining his MCL in his left knee on April 6. He won the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP in 2008.

Manu Ginobili finally had the game the Spurs needed from him when he played a huge role in saving San Antonio’s season with a 33-point effort in Game 5. Ginobili hit 10 of his 18 shots from the floor while chipping in six rebounds and six assists. It was the first time he cracked the 30-point plateau since Feb. 27.

Ben Zobrist is coming off a huge day at the plate for the Tampa Bay Rays after he went 4-for-6 with a home run, two doubles and a career-high eight RBIs as the Rays hammered the Twins 15-3 on Thursday. Zobrist, who now has 16 RBIs over the last four games, is still hitting just .236 on the year.

Ice-cold Hondo performed his patented triple-

Tonight, Mr. Aitch has a hunch the Royals will have good reason to celebrate -- 10 units on Chen.
