Millionaires---Navy
A win would give Navy back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time in school history. It would also be the first time in school history that the Midshipmen won four straight bowl games. Navy's current streak of three straight bowl wins is the fifth-longest active streak in the country. The Midshipmen run a triple-option offense. Their 310.9 rushing yards per game are the fourth-most nationally. The top running backs are Chris High (500 rushing yards) and Shawn White (443 yards). Both teams enter this game on a two-game losing streak and lost their respective conference championship games. Look for the Academy discipline to be a big part of representing in this Armed Forces Bowl. The Bulldogs gave up two rushing touchdowns or more in each of the last five games. That's all Navy does and a lack of committed practices by La Tech may by enough for the midshipmen to prevail. What the Midshipmen can do in this contest is control the ball and the clock. Navy likes to play with a decent tempo, but it has to shorten the game as much as possible and keep that Louisiana Tech offense off the field.
