Well, it works for me... most of the time. For the most part, I play 0.5 unit over the star rating. But, when the spread is < 3 and I like the dog, I'll forego the spread and play the moneyline for a flat 2 units regardless of the star rating. For instance, last night wasn't all that great from my services, but I made quite a bit of profit by playing the Knicks and Portland on both spread and moneyline. Both were 300+ dogs and both won outright.
Savage I would sit out. Cal Sports strength is College Hoops and then College Foots. It was several years ago but I had a conversation with Ralph and he said he simply puts out NBA picks because it is expected and generates volume. With that said, he tries to win, but it is not the same as his college sports. Good luck.
