I hear Suboxone is just as addicting as Oxycontin. Haven't tried it since I get my filled prescription of Oxy every month from my Dr. I am going to continue to use Oxy until I can't gat a prescription anymore than I will get on Suboxone.

I see a lot of you are addicted to sex in here and that is good because if you were addicted to oxycontin you would NOT even care about sex. Say clean

if your being serious PC , I hope you get help before this addiction kills you

best of luck

Anyone in here have any addictions that they can't control? I hope we can be honest in here. I admit I am addicted to Oxycontin (pain medicine) that I have been prescribed for over 4 years from a knee injury. I HAVE been addicted to Gambling, drinking and Pot in my life but this Oxycontin beats them all hands down. Just wondering if anyone else in here has tried the stuff?

Thanks

Have you ever sniffed Oxycontin. Try Try Try to live by this motto

"You control the addiction Don't let the addiction control you "

Yes. I lost a life-long friend to this. He was so addicted, he was shooting into his veins. He was taking it for a bulging disk in his back.

suboxene is the only hope for a painless detox. otherwise you are in store for absolute hell. in order to get into the program i think you have to go to meetings and do a couple other things, but that's the only thing that can get you clean without being an absolute wreck.

is your pm function on?

I was addicted to poker for a while. I couldn't play enough. I was playing 3 to 4 tables at a time, 25 to 30 hours per week on top of my 40 hour per week job and during several times per week. I was Neglecting responsibilities, family and work. I was a mess.

You don't have to go to meetings to get on sub. You don't need to do anything other than find doctor that has been thru the suboxone training course (not all doctors can prescribe it.) If you have a regular script, and no desire to quit, well...good luck, not sure what the point of the thread was then though. I guess just to see what other bad habits we all have.

BTW, that's a lot of oxycontin. I've never taken oxy (always was scared to) but had my issues with percocet. Got off using suboxone, then hurt my back and now back on it. Good luck and be careful.

oh i had a friend who was addicted to oxycontin and he got perscribed suboxene, but has to do all this stuff to stay on the program. they actually made him sweat it out for a whole month before he could see the dr. that could give him the suboxene so he was forced to feed his addiction the whole time.

Now that I think about it, I may have read that some docs make you do some other things when on sub, i.e., meetings, pee tests etc..my guy just wanted to collect his $50 co pay. He also handed out ambien an ativan to help me sleep when I got off the percocet (two other addicting pills.) At one point, a sub doc couldn't have more than either 30 or 80 patients at a time....that is probably why he had a hard time getting in. That sucks! At least oxycontin and oxycodone don't have tylenol that will do a number on your liver.

I did not know that only certain Dr can prescribe Subox. I know the time will come someday when I will not be able to keep getting my prescription and that it will be hell but I will have no choice. I have been through HELL before. I was in Iraq for 2 years and I saw my high school buddy shoot himself. The reason I started this thread was to see what others in here have as an addiction. I am surprised no one mentioned Gambling since we are in a gambling forum. Something tells me there has to be some in here that have at least been to GA. I was in GA during my college years but that was a long time ago.

I'm addicted to listening to the music in my head. I can't stop playing the theme from "The Munsters" over and over again. That is, unless I substitute it with "Moon River".

I have heard of this Kratom of which you speak. Good things, but don't remember the specifics. I think it helps with the physical w/d.. Suboxone is the only thing that will help with any sort of mental addiction. PC.....What is wrong with your knee? That is a lot of oxy he is prescribing. Has your doc ever talked about cutting you off?
