I piled on, and I piled on before the game. The reason I was so mad at Brock was that he posted it as the Lock of the Year in the CFB forum. Tried to make himself look like a genius for finding and that the linesmakers were fools. I was just trying to keep people from following becuase, unlike him, I actually had a clue about this game. I just didn't want to see anyone follow this square play, the way he was hyping I'm sure they followed anyway though. I mean, only a fool would favor a 3-3 team @ the #1 team in the nation, right?

Not sure who did this? Illini maybe? If so at least he gave his opinion beforehand but still no need to pile jump on mr. Landers in any event with the amount of cash he lost on it.
I didn't pile on him. I made my opinion known before the game, and he basically said I was a homer, moron, and asked me if I was high. I pointed out that the line was probabaly right, and he was stubborn and continued to call it a "joke." It was certainly a square play, an obvious "lock and load" for squares everywhere, because they use the same logic as Brock did. I warned everyone that ISU was very good, and hopefully some people listened. Brock's "lock" was certainly a horrible pick, as SIU never had a chance and got blown out by 4 touchdowns. So this craziness about saying it was a good pick is nonsense. And nobody came in past posting like Kodiak. Kornholio and I just felt like pointing out that we were right, after being ridiculed. ISU is as good as any team in 1AA, and even though they've lost 3 close games, they are very consistent, and might be the very best team.

I agree. You did nothing wrong in my opinion. Maybe in Mr. Smith's opinion you did however that may not be worth much after him claiming that it was a good play after the game is over. Hell it wasn't even as close as the score indicated. 2 garbage touchdowns in the last few minutes to make it closer. To say it was a good play after the game appears to be pretty stupid.

bumps, bumps all over Brock "the Cock" Landers!
I have NEVER EVER made a wager on any sports event, and even I know that Brock is a square!
I've wanted to bump this so bad for so long and just can't resist! I feel so sorry for him, losing all that money when people who were familiar with both teams WARNED him not bet this one. I know it was a very CLOSE game and could have gone either way. I would feel sorry for the people that followed him, but just can't.
BTW, best of luck on that MSU-IL basketball game. oh wait a minute.....

I don't know why he bumped this either. False is my youngest brother, and truly a good guy, but this makes him look like a complete asshole.

The play was a good one imo. I recall the situation very well & even agreed that the line was awful. The game didn't win but if I was faced with the same exact situation, I'd play them again as they would cover almost everytime.
