By the way Brock, the reason the line was moving was you pounding it time and time again. Obscure games work like that so you acting like a genius for being ahead of a line move is ridiculous. You are smarter than that man.

you are completely incorrect royal. I bet this game myself and lost. not because of the Brock post but because it was the correct play.

It irritates me when people post AFTER the game and throw stones at someone who posted an opinion BEFORE the game. If you are so sure a pick is wrong, post so BEFORE kickoff, if you do so after the final gun, I think it reflects poorly on you.

So what exactly am I incorrect about? You don't think him getting 5 grand down on the game at roughly 500 a pop caused the line to move? If not, you are clueless on the subject. I used to think you were smart, but you have been saying some stupid things of late, the dumbest possibly being saying it was the correct play. It obviously was one of the worst plays one could have made on the entire board today. Illini summed it up pretty well it appears.

Do you know how to read? My post said nothing about the quality or opinion on the play.

I would have said the same thing had the bet covered by 28 points. Again you are completely missing the point Mr. Smith.

royalfan,

You are carrying our recent disagreement over into this thread. I have no animosity towards you.

i have none toward you either, however when one accuses me of getting on someones case for making a bad play when I did not do that, I will obviously correct them.

No need to rub salt on the wound boy, I'm sure Brock feels bad right now. This should be a lesson learned and also a reason this board is used, for informative debate that can help your bankroll.

Look, here is what happened. ISU opened up as a favorite, because they are a damn good team that has yet to play a bad game. They have played great every time out. They were favored for a reason, and the result of the game proves it. It wasn't a "bad line," a "gift," or sleepwalking by the linesmakers. They aren't morons. It surprised me a little at first, but only because SIU was ranked #1, which means nothing. I warned everyone, and was called a moron and a homer, and was basically laughed at. The fact remains that the people that bet SIU were thinking like total squares. 3-3 team at the #1? Oh, that's easy! They knew nothing about ISU. But a lot of people lost an awful lot of money tonight on this game, and they were sucked in by a wannabe expert that called it a lock, yet knew nothing about either team. The 2 books that put lines on Div 1AA games are very sharp. They are laughing their asses off at you guys.

Again, I wasn't trying to rub salt in the wound, just stating that repeatedly showing what the new line is when you are the one moving it each time is stupid and pointless. Had he played the other side that many times it would have moved also. This is my take irregardless of how good or bad the play was or what the result was. I honestly wish he had won the bet. I am not one to root for people to lose for no reason.

No, why do you ask? I do think OF is a pretty smart guy though, so I will take it as a compliment I guess.

this thread makes me sad. it really does, which is pretty easy since I'm already very sad tonight. For those looking to bash me ,I'll make it easy for you. This is the single worst day of my gambling career ever. Ever. I got crushed. I am seriously depressed. The Florida State non-cover cost me a boatload on top of my already terrible day.

I have only once felt so bad in my gambling career, in Vegas when I lost a boatload at the blackjack tables. At the time it felt this bad, but it was relative to my bankroll then and the actual loss was nothing compared to what I lost today. The feeling is the same, but the loss is infinately greater today.

So fling crap at me, not Brock, if you'd like. I know 1-aa teams and Brocks play was a good one that missed. Believe me, or dont. Either way, its not nice to throw stones at a poster who posted a loser and lost his money on it AFTER the darned game is over. Make your opinion known before kickoff or shut up afterwards.

One last time, I didn't have an opinion on the game but I do have an opinion that constantly getting on here updating the line movements that one or two people are causing is pointless and arrogant. I did not once throw stones for making a bad play and that is the truth. I guess I did towards you a little bit, Mr. Smith after you said it was a good play. I didn't get to see the game, so I cannot say whether the result was a fluke or not.

In any case I hope that clears up again the point of my first post and I am very sorry to hear about your bad day. Happens to everyone at some time or another. Come back and get em next time you are mentally prepared to fire again.

Most on here made their opinions known before the game. No one is reveling in anyone's loss here.

brock made a very good pick on a home dog +3. it was the correct play, though it was never a lock. good plays do not nearly always win. It bothered me to see the guy taking flack after the result was known for a good pick.

Not sure who did this? Illini maybe? If so at least he gave his opinion beforehand but still no need to pile jump on mr. Landers in any event with the amount of cash he lost on it.
