cef is a decent idea, but if people are going to buy that they may as well buy a stock like ssri which has hundreds of millions of oz in the ground they paid pennies per oz for or use something like

if the current premium is only 3-4% thats below what people would pay commission to buy physical bullion, but that premium does vary.

imho, people should buy physical gold themselves and find their own ways to store it, and use certain stocks for the bulk of their silver investments.
the already proven market leaders will outperform what the underlying commodity returns, so its not wise to have all ones precious metals investments only in physical. its also unwise to have all ones precious metals investments only in stocks.
if you only own stocks, and the system melts down, you will own paper and nothing else.
